I wanted to share my recent scan results to spur on anyone with severe fibrosis/early cirrhosis. From a diagnosis of NAFLD F3-4 in November 2020 following an MRi showing bridging fibrosis and fibroscan score of 11.6 kpa, my fibroscan score yesterday was 5.6kpa F0-F1. After my first ultrasound scan in April 2020 showing severe fatty liver it has been a long wait to find out if my liver has improved. I followed the liver friendly/Mediterranean diet, cut out all alcohol, drank several coffees a day and exercised a bit more. It's a lifestyle change that can work so dont give up! This forum really helped me too thankyou.

Can I ask something? Was your NAFLD F3-4 diagnosis based only on fibroscan and MRI results? I mean any other indications like abnormal blood tests, FIB-4 or ELF, liverfast? Ok I found on this forum that your elf test result was 7.69. So I think not coresponding to your F3-F4 fibroscan result.
Anyway great progress. You are a great example that fatty liver can be reversed with appropriate life style change. Great.
Yes my blood tests were almost always normal apart from high inflammation at the start and the consultant stated my ELF score was 'elevated'. The bridging fibrosis was picked up on MRI. I still have raised fatty liver cap score 266 but much reduced from severe. I was always surprised that the ELF score didnt really match my other tests.
Wow that is fantastic, all I can say is well done. I'm mid F3 and have made changes straight away. I've lost a load of weight from 17.5st and weighed myself this morning as I do every Friday and am now 15.8st. Stories like this are really encouraging. Thank you for sharing.
