Variations in serum creatinine 10% in 2 weeks
Hello, my name is Ionel and I am new to this forum. I have a chronic kidney disease, stable for years with creatinine 1.09 mg/dl. Since March, I have been suspected of having IGA nephropathy, I have not had a biopsy yet. I lose proteins, approximately 500-700 mg/24h, red blood cells 15-15 hpf. In February

US names first 10 drugs for Medicare price negotiation
- Wells Fargo analyst Mohit Bansal said the savings made from negotiations on Jardiance, Januvia,
Farxiga
and Insulin Aspart, which cost the agency about $16.5 billion, could potentially free up Medicare's budget and make it easier to cover diabetes or obesity drugs.

The doctor put me on a medication called
Farxiga
. I went back 3 months later (Feb) for more blood and urine tests. This time both tests were great except for my A1C. Fast forward to May. No urine test but my blood test showed my Creatinine was high as well as my BUN. My eGFR was 33.

Farxiga or Jardiance
Wondering if anyone else in here use
Farxiga
or Jardiance for their CKD? and if it has helped in any way? Also, with GFR of 26, which of these 2 meds is more beneficial? I read somewhere that Jardiance cannot be used in patients <30 GFR. But
Farxiga
not for patients <25. Thanks in advance!

Hypo type episode on Dapaglaflozin/Forxiga, and Spironolactone, while waiting for a pacemaker upgrade. Advice anyone?
I felt sweaty and shaky after skipping breakfast this morning, and looking at the leaflet for Dapaglaflozin, I see one of the side effects is to cause low blood sugar levels. It's a diabetes drug which has been found to help with Heart Failure patients. It makes you pee away blood sugar. So I ate some

RISING EGR
THEY TOOK MY .05
FARXIGA
AWAY FROM ME? THEY ALSO ADDED STEROROIDS AN REDUCED MY ELAVIL FROM 150MG TO 100 MG. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS THE SAME. MY ASSUMPTION IS THE STEROIRDS ALONG WITH INSULIN WOULD BE THE REASON FOR THE IMPROVEMENT. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Results from scan. 36% ef. Previous scan in Jan 35-40%. no change since start Dapagliflozin/forxiga. Q. How do we improve ef rate?
39 yrs old. Had a suspect heart attack back in 2019 where my ef rate was 12% and was in ICU for 10 days praying for my life and coughing up pink phlegm. All the fun stuff of dying from heart failure. Luckily managed to pull through. Fast forward several years of meds and slow recovery. My ef bounced

Medication question: Dapagliflozin (SGLt2). I think this is also called farxiga and other names
Hi everyone, hope you all are well. I am doing alright since my first diagnosis back in Nov 2022. My last Creat(about a month agao) was 2.39 with EGFR at 36. Pretty much the same. I was wondering if any one is taking Dapagliflozin. My Neph recommended it and says might help in proteninuria. I

HbA1c has gone down!!!!
Saw the diabetes nurse yesterday, my HbA1c is 63, down from 88 (not sure when it was 88, but who cares!) I've been on Ozempic for about a year, but couldn't get any for several months due to the shortages. I'm back on it the last 3 months and have gradually increased to the 1mg dose (which it was I

Forxiga. Dapagliflozin. Due to start this drug. Any good? Sides? How does it actually work for the heart? Any improvements?
The information leaflet says it helps diabetes by removing excess sugar in the body thus helping treat that condition. For heart failure it just says it helps protect the heart from getting weaker. It can help patients live longer. But it does not actually say how this works. Can anyone explain? I

Dapagliflozin (Forxiga, Farxiga). Has anyone been on this drug long term and experienced improvements to heart?
I have recently been to the cardiologist who has stated my ef rate had dropped from 44% to 35-40% which is a small decline but he is hoping over this next year, that the drug dapa will improve things before intervening any further. Has anyone noticed improvements from this drug specifically?

Foxiga 10mg for Severe HF
Forxiga 10 mg has just been added to my meds. Apparently this a new drug for treating diabetes but has shown to help severe HF. I am not diabetic and just wondering if it is OK to take in the morning with my other HF meds. Bisoprilol Furodemide, Eperenone and Entresto( Secubitril Valsartan). Does it

Nephrologist Visit
She talked about the
Farxiga
and said she thinks it is a good med for me to be on. She said it does have a drying or dehydrating effect on the kidneys. As it eliminates sugar in the urine that causes the kidney to pull water from everywhere to help do that.
