Just a question on Blood Pressure and Heart Failure, anyone know if Low Diastolic pressure is related to Heart Failure ?

I have noticed recently that my Diastolic Pressure has gone down to around 45mm Hg Systolic can be anywere between 85 and 115 but Dia is still around 45 to 55.. Todays Reading was 85/45 HR 52

Just wondering if anyone else is/has experienced Lowish Diastolic readings ?

Meds are Bisoprolol 7.5 Entresto 49/51 two times daily. Forxiga/dapagliflozin 10mg. Aspirin daily and Eplenerone every other day. I have no symptoms of Low Blood Pressure it just seems strange to have gone low , I have checked the machine and it is fine !!

ps Not worried just looking to see if anyone has this with HF

Regards

Hi Prada47, I was experiencing low diastolic and had a review with my doctor. I was told to stop my bp meds and see what difference this made. Since stopping the meds the numbers have come up. Hope this helps I would definitely speak to your doctor. Judi

You could be having periods of hypotension because your dose is too high , that can even be a sign that your heart and general health has improved and requires less medicating. You need to contact the GP to discuss this and see if you should try an approved change in dose to relieve these symptoms. Let us know what happens , take care , Bee

Dapagliflozin improves heart pump function. When I was on bisoprolol 7.5 it was too high a dose..reduced it and was fine.check with your GP or consultant.

Hi

Thanks for the reply I was on 10mg Bisoprolol which was reduced to 7.5mg, been on Dapa for about a year now. I know I have a pretty complex heart structure with around 24 % non functioning, It was the link to HF I was concerned about.

Regards
