Farxiga

I need to come off Farxiga for a couple of days before the procedure. Farxiga has done wonders to stabilize my egfr. I'm currently at 28 with Farxiga. I'm concerned coming off Farxiga for even a couple of days will drop my egfr further. What experience has others had in this situation?

had to stop Farxiga I had an allergic reaction on Friday , very down about that now.

doctor wants me to take farxiga for heart failure issues. Seems like there are a lot of side effects. Including frequent urination. Has anyone used farxiga and how did it make you feel. I think it is a drug for diabetes but apparently helps heart failure.

HOWEVER I FOUND OUT ABOUT FARXIGA THE SAME WAY. I HAD TO ASK FOR IT. MY DR DID NOT KNOW OF IT. I HAVE ALSO READ ABOUT KLOTHO. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. pigeonman

I have had to stop the Farxiga after only 5 tablets I had an allergic reaction ,I really wanted to take this as it sounds like a miracle drug . I am gutted.

I read about farxiga to prolong kidney function. When do doctors recommend? Is there any downside to the kidneys to start at this point? I have HBP but no diabetes. I want to do all I can to maintain sufficient kidney function for my life.

They put me on Farxiga 5 mg for almost a year. The side effects grew progressively worse until I ended up in the ER with stroke like symptoms, due to what they think was severe dehydration. They eventually had to take me off of the Farxiga due to not being able to tolerate the side effects.

I have another question about Farxiga please. Emphasis is put on staying hydrated to protect kidneys. Has anyone’s creatinine levels increased after taking Farxiga and do you have to drink more than 64 oz. to counter the effects? Thank you.

I’ve been on Farxiga for 3 weeks and yesterday and today I’ve had a bad headache, which I don’t recall having to any degree during my life. It is a symptom of hypoglycemia. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

is anyone taking Farxiga and Eplerenone together and if so are there side effects such as dehydration? Also, how much fluid intake if on both? Thank you in advance.

About a year ago, my nephrologist prescribed Farxiga, but it left me feeling extremely dizzy and weak in the mornings. I don’t have diabetes, so I was then switched to Jardiance, which caused similar side effects.

I've looked into it and overall it seems harmless to take Farxiga or Jardiance.

My cardiologist began listing some of the possible side effects which caused some concern. Some were said to be rare, but still sound pretty bad. I read of some posts from a year ago. My renal function was slightly low, and I was placed on Farxiga 5mgm/day, by a nephrologist, who was not concerned about my borderline GFR. My GFR is stable, but my oncologist decreased my Nubeqa to 300 mgm bid. I was not having side effects from the Nubeqa. Any thoughts?

Hello, I was wondering if any of you had went on farxiga with a low GFR and what was your experience? My GFR is at a 31 and my doc has discussed the possibility of putting me on it.
