I am late to answer this. My husband went on Farxiga, which is the USA equivalent of Foxiga and it was the best thing for him. It initially brought his GFR up but it has come back down a bit. But it is now stable. His protein is gone from his blood and his diabetes is also stable. Great drug for him. No side effects and he has been on it for two years. He is so good the nephrologist is going to only see him once a year with labs every six months.

Thankyou so much bassetmommer for taking the time to reply,I am encouraged to try this now ,so thankyou, as I said in my previous txt I will check it with my cardiologist on Tuesday when I have my appointment hopefully getting results of my echocardiogramm as they thought I had or have fluid around my heart, hopefully it will be ok, my gfr are has dropped to 34 ,which I am worried about but hopefully this medication will help when I start taking it, again thankyou, best wishes to you and your husband,
