Thank you
I told her I had been told I was going on
etanercept
and I had all my tests. My tests came back fine but my application for it was refused I would be injecting methotrexate instead of tablets???? Why I asked . Because it was may work better and I had to try this first.

How long did it take for a diagnosis?
Rheumatology felt they might have picked it up earlier but apparently it was not presenting as expected(don’t really understand) and apparently they are looking at RA patients like myself who were on
etanercept
as they have had a couple of others presenting differently and are wondering if

Biologic or not to biologic
My consultant is now prescribing me biologics (
etanercept
( Benepali) could anyone give me advice on on their experience with Biologics please? To what extent does it suppress the immune system in comparison to Dmards?

Biosimilars soon🤞🏼
I had been offered 3 but one was an infusion so am now down to a choice of 2, adalimimab(similar to Humira) and
Etanercept
(similar to Embrel)... also, needle or pen? Even though I’m on MTX subcutaneous I still “wind up” about self injecting & see it as a weekly hurdle..

Biologics
have the diagnosis of 'sero negative arthritis' I now have.....psoriatic arthritis which is good but also frustrating as I said from the beginning that's what I have....but my psoriasis has had to spread to my face for them to be convinced 😝 anyway I've been given the option of 2 biosimilars.......

EXPERIENCE OF RITUXIMAB AND TRIXUMA INFUSIONS TO CONTROL RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS - ALSO USE OF ABATACEPT with or without Methotrexate therapy
I have been on the biologic weekly injections
ETANERCEPT
(Enbrel) for over 12 years. This treatment worked very well for me for a very long time. However, it has stopped controlling my RA since I have had 2 total knee replacement operations last year.

Has anyone else been denied biologic therapy for the same reason?
The snag there is that
Etanercept
doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier so it needs giving by lumbar puncture.

Etanercept and Headaches
Has anyone had trouble with headaches for several days after taking
etanercept
injections (I’m taking Benepali). I’m a long-term migraine sufferer but these headaches are milder and won’t respond to normal migraine drugs, ibuprofen, etc.

Dilemma?
I've been taking
etanercept
(enbrel/benepali/enbrel) for about 15 years as well as mtx. Since the change to benepali last year I've struggled to get back in control of my RA despite going back on enbrel in March. I've only managed through a raft of steroid injections.

Etanercept/Benepali or Baricitinib/Olumiant and weight gain?
Hi there After a year and a half of trialling different DMARDs for my RA with no success, Im now being asked to consider starting either
Etanercept
or Baricitinib. Ive been reading research and patient forums to help me decide but cant find any info on Baricitinib and weight gain/loss.

Itchy skin after shower - advice?
I've had RA for the past year and am currently on
etanercept
, mtx and hydroxycholorquine (+ more..). I have finally begun to taper off of prednisolone and am down to 5mg. I've recently moved to NE England (cold in Nov!)

Article copied. Hope it pastes.
Among 430 patients receiving infliximab,
etanercept
, or adalimumab, 15 developed MRSA infections, had to stop TNF inhibitor therapy and received intravenous antibiotics, reported Dr. Lichtenstein, a rheumatologist in group practice in Annapolis, Md.

Etanercept v Baricitinib?
I know that with
Etanercept
(Benepali) there is thought to be a very small SCC risk but cant find much on Bariticinib. I am wondering whether its because its still relatively new? I just wondered if anyone else has looked into this aspect or got any info? Thanks in advance
