The Flu Vaccine, Inflammatory Arthritis, and COVID-19: What You Need to Know
Although researchers have also found that people taking methotrexate or TNF inhibitor biologics — like
etanercept
(Enbrel), adalimumab (Humira), and infliximab (Remicade) — do have an acceptable response to the flu vaccine, the response isn’t as strong as it is in healthy individuals who are not taking

Etanercept - anyone tried it?
My rheumatologist is now recommending I start
Etanercept
and it has been approved by my local hospital. She believes I’m now falling into the sero negative category. Does anyone on here have any experience of this biologic? Is there anything I should be asking about?

Cimzia certolizumab - Rheumatoid arthritis
I am currently taking
Etanercept
weekly injections which seems to have stopped working and my joints are getting more damaged. I would appreciate if anyone who knows about this drug or is using it can let me know your thoughts and experience of taking it and any side effects to be aware of.

Change of medication
I have taken methotrexate and
Etanercept
medication for several years for Rheumatoid arthritis, I have been fairly well. I stopped the methotrexate last year but have only noticed a really bad flare up for last month, my joints have been inflamed and deteriorated in just a month.

To shield or not to shield, that is the question?
I take methotrexate and Benapali(
etanercept
) and have medication for high blood pressure. I have not received a letter telling me that I am in the "shielding group". My GP is convinced that I am not, as methotrexate isn't on his list for shielding and he has no information about
etanercept
.

Stopping Immunosuppressant Medication During an Infection? Sick-Day Planning for the Coronavirus Outbreak
If you are on weekly methotrexate, you would hold off a week or two, if you’re
etanercept
(Enbrel) or adalimumab (Humira), basically the same thing,” he says. “The idea is that you will diminish the chance that your immune system is downgraded.”

Painful fingers crossed
He gave me a steroid jab and has informed me that the next plan is to have a self injected drug called ‘
Etanercept
’ so now waiting for a nurse to call and give me a lesson on how to do it all. So that’s me and my journey so far.

Carpel tunnel surgery date
I now have a date for my carpel tunnel surgery and have stopped my DMARDS and
Etanercept
injections. Goodness me, I can already feel the effects! For most this is a simple procedure but when you have to endure the effects of PsA, it becomes a whole more complicated.

What am I to expect?
After 30+ years of ra, dmard, painkillers etc, etc, I was placed on biologics(
etanercept
). 1st week as amazing. Virtually pain-free almost everywhere. 2nd, 3rd week the same. 4th week pain returns inside and out of elbows, hands not too bad. Spine flaring up. 5th week, spine shocking.

I was given a steroid injection and told I was going on Biologics (
