Etanercept and Headaches

Has anyone had trouble with headaches for several days after taking etanercept injections (I’m taking Benepali). I’m a long-term migraine sufferer but these headaches are milder and won’t respond to normal migraine drugs, ibuprofen, etc.

No headaches with Benepali but when I first started taking Humira, I had headaches for 5 days at a time for the first couple,of months.

I get headaches. I'm not sure if it's the benepali or due to neck pain. I always wake up with them.

I find the only thing that helps is a cold shower right on top of my head. I sometimes wake up in the early hours and just stick my head under cold tap in the kitchen. It works if you can stand it! I quite like it.

I get headaches which vary in intensity but like nettinet mine are also affected by my prolapsed disc in my neck which has moments of discontent! I agree though they feel more sinus related which can be related to benepali.

Hi. I’ve been taking Etanercept for 12 years and still suffer withe headaches of varying intensity after injecting. It actually says in the information for the drug that one of the side effects is sinus headaches. Lucky us, we can’t win.

I got quite bad headaches with Benepali , it's one of the reasons I switched back to Enbrel. I don't get any headaches with Enbrel.

Me too I’m afraid. Have taken Etanacept for the past 10 years and headaches have featured all the way through. I just had a 5 week ‘holiday’ to have surgery, felt great head-wise, but the sinus type discomfort is back after one injection. I do also have several fused discs in my cervical spine which also cause headaches and respond to deep tissue massage. The cold water trick sounds good but I shall probably choose an ice pack instead!
