Just recently an old whiplash injury had come back and I found it nigh on impossible to push the pen down so asked for the needle for next delivery. It came on Wednesday and wasn't to bothered I've done Fragamin and do knew how to do a needle injection. But it still needed working up too, and I got a bar of chocolate ready as a reward for bravery, a CDM you might say. Anyway got the stuff out took off top and pinched an inch and it slid in with no pain what so ever. Pushed the plunger down slowly as they said and it didn''t sting at all. So it was so much easier than the pen its unbelievable. So to all those who have a sting with the pen ask about a syringe its really easy and painless. But I ate the CDM anyway, as a long time to tea and we've book a table at a fish restaurant for 7pm with the family or thats my excuse anyway because I didn't need it for doing the injection. And no big bang in either it just sort of slides. Really recommend this method of administering.

I'm on injections not the pen. When I went on Enbrel I was injecting mtx and my specialist nurse advised me to use a syringe and not a pen because I was use to injections. She said I'd have more control over the dose going in, said that with the pen it's wham straight inside you. I always take mine out the day before and inject into my tum, found that better than my thigh. Sometimes it doesn't hurt at all, sometimes it stings a little.
