Any stories with Sarilumab/Kevzara?
I started this biologic on Thursday due to
etanercept
not making much difference at all. Just seeing if anyone has been on it and any experiences? I know we are all different but with it being relatively new, I can't seem to find much info about it.

Anyone else experiencing RA alongside osteoarthritis and being peri menopausal? Feeling exhausted…
Well the good news is current treatment plan of mtx and
etanercept
is keeping my RA controlled. But X-rays and US of feet and hands show that the pretty constant pain is osteoarthritis, and it’s in all fingers and toes. Alongside fully blown peri menopausal I’m feeling pretty exhausted.

And on we go.....
I'm to continue with the
Etanercept
for a month then leave it for a month and then the new stuff will arrive. I won't need any more X-rays or tests and it is disappointing but she said this one might not knock the immune system so hard but again its pot luck.

On my last appointment he recommended I come off
Etanercept
and go for an intravenous Tocilizumb treatment in hospital. He mentioned 3 times that if I experienced severe side effects to contact his secretary and not the rheumatology nurses.

PIP
I have been on
Etanercept
and Methotrexate for the last 17 years but now they aren't working and my Rheumatologist is looking at different meds. I applied for PIP 2 years ago but I received no points at all despite letters from my G.P. and consultant recommending that I was awarded it.

Advice please?
Horrible flare 3 weeks ago, roving inflammation and pain all over, rheumatologist is wondering about the PMR diagnosis, said to up the prednisone to where it controls the symptoms, and then start on my choice of 2 biologics, adalimumab or
etanercept
.

What vaccine group am I in?
I'm 54 and am on methotrexate and
etanercept
. No other health issues besides RA. I therefore didn't get a shielding letter. According to NHS website I'm in group 4 because I'm on immunosuppresants, but government website seems to indicate I'm in group 6.

Found this info while doing some research..Etanercept
Etanercept
, sold under the brand name Enbrel among others, is a biopharmaceutical that treats autoimmune diseases by interfering with tumor necrosis factor (TNF, a soluble inflammatory cytokine) by acting as a TNF inhibitor.
