55 year old hypo diagnosed 20+ years ago, family history of hypo ( nan, mum and sister) . I also have vitiligo from my early 20s. I was tested for dry eyes when I was a teenager , so I think I've been hypo a long time.

weight changes on Estradiol and cyclogest for FET
Iâm waiting for the go ahead to start estradiol and then cyclogest as part of the prep for a FET but really struggled with the weight I gained during the 3 cycles we had. We had 3 cycles in 3 months and I gained so much weight with the stress and drugs. Iâve had a little gap in-between the last retrieval

My âthyroid journeyâ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. Iâm fairly convinced I donât have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however itâs not just adrenals as Iâve tested myself on HC solo and it doesnât work. Estrogen vs ADT?
I've read 5 recent papers that discuss the use of estrogen as an alternative treatment to ADT (Lupron, etc.). The new data looks very favorable. A bit of history. Huggins discovered this effect around 1941-44, and he found that high doses of estrogen (estradiol) efficiently castrated men, which

Hashimotos - understanding latest blood test results - any advice for next steps?
Hi all, my partner (44F) has been struggling with hypothyroid / possible PCOS symptoms for ~18 months (thinning hair all over, some hirsutism and weight gain). She was diagnosed with Hashimotos in October 2022. We have been trying an approach to tackle both the thyroid issues and the hyperandrogenism

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

Thin womb lining
Hi đ We are about to start our second round of IVF. I had my scan today and my womb lining is only 4.5 after 13 days of Estradiol. I have to go back for another scan on Friday, but if itâs not thickened up by then they will have to cancel this cycle. Has anyone else been in this situation? Thanks

Perimenopause and Venlafaxine?
Hi all I'm 45 years old and have been on HRT (Estradiol + Utrogestan) for a year now. My main symptoms used to be mood swings, night sweats, difficulty to sleep through and hot flushes, which are mostly gone since I've been taking the tablet + applying the gel. The only side effect is that I've put

HRT Questions
I wondered if any members could recommend or suggest good bioidentical HRT products. I've been on HRT for nearly 7 years. I went into menopause very abruptly after I came off the pill. A lot of weird health issues reared their head at the same time and I admit I wasn't very well at the time. I've mentioned

Worse after an UTI and Covid
Good afternoon. About five weeks ago I developed an UTI for which I took three separate courses of antibiotics as it wouldn't clear. In the same period I contracted Covid which didn't affect me much. I only found out that I had it because a friend who I'd spent time with had done a Covid test and it

Any advice welcome
Hello. Does anyone have advice on the use of estriol cream for vaginal atrophy. Also whilst seeing the urologists they have advised that I should not worry about the fact that I have both maternal and paternal grandmothers and maternal aunts who had breast cancer. Also they've changed medication to Hiprex
