Green tea and quercetin may sensitize PCa to docetaxel
New mouse study below. "GT {green tea} + Q {quercetin} or LD Doc {low dose Docetaxel} slightly inhibited tumor growth compared to control. However, the combination of GT and Q with LD Doc significantly enhanced the potency of Doc 2-fold and reduced tumor growth by 62 % compared to LD Doc in 7-weeks intervention

Propolis - CAPE
Another post prompted by Attitude67 & Charmander. Propolis is a resin that bees use to seal gaps in the hive. It may have antibacterial & antifungal properties. Supplements are widely available, but one should be aware that PCa studies have focussed on CAPE (Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester). Some propolis

Almost there
So so so! After overstimulating last week and ending up with 32 follicles and a close wave to my cycle being terminated or at least delayed weeks and moving from fresh to frozen. A last minute miracle happened and my oestradiol was back in order. Monday I had my egg collection, still being taunted by

Good endo - still gobsmacked
I've just got back from my first appointment with the endocrinologist and am still a little shocked about his extremely helpful and co-operative attitude. He listened to everything, made lots of notes, examined me and has now ordered a raft of tests, including TSH, FT4, cortisol, U&Es, Vitamin D, prolactin

I had the results of my sex hormone tests. The ranges for progesterone and oestradiol are missing. The GP did not know them neither did the receptionist. I rang the lab and they would not give them to me ( matter of national security it seems! ) Does anyone know the ranges for the Coventry hospital

Could you please give your opinion on these results?
Hello, everyone. I really hope you might be able to help, I would be very grateful. I am a 42 year old female, and went to the doctor a few weeks ago because I'm struggling with exhaustion, sleeping all the time, or sometimes waking up multiple times a night over-heating or cold, irritability, mood

Does T3 make you sweat and does High Progesterone make you sleepy
Hi, I wondered if anyone has bad sweats when taking T3, I increased my T3 this year to 27.5mcg split dose, but I've been having really bad sweats at night and in the day. I am in menopause, but these sweats are far worse then I've experienced before. I did run out of my patches for a very short while

Confused...disappointed...apprehensive
It's fair to say that my head is full of mixed emotions at the moment. I am going through my first cycle of IVF. I took all my stim injections, and had 27 follicles. As the nurses were concerned about OHSS, they did a blood test. They were expecting a high oestradiol number...so we were all surprised

New here
Hi, I live in the US (Texas) and was diagnosed with APS/Hughes in 2011 after a series of surgeries, bleeding and blood transfusions. Apparently I had a DVT in my groin. It was very small (microclot?) and I wasn't given anything other than baby aspirin daily which I have been on consistently since.
