Menopur 300 iu (AMH 17.5) - not sure if the dose is too high for me??? (my first IVF)
Dear ladies, Anyone with similar levels being put on Menopur 300 iu on long protocol IVF? AMH 17.5 FSH 8.1 (CD3) LH 6 (on CD3) Oestradiol 196 (on CD3) Antral follicle count: about 4-6 follicles each ovary (on CD4) (I've just turned 40 in June this year.) I've been wondering if my Menopur dose is too

Newly diagnosed with Hypothyroid and antibodies in blood
Hi everyone, I've been reading a lot of your posts and finding out some really interesting information to learn about this condition. I know one of the main things you ask to understand someone's diagnosis is their readings, so this is what I have so far from my doc (I was diagnosed in May this year

need help with interpretation of blood results please
Hi All Really am at the end of my tether with a disinterested GP and a seemingly clueless endo. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 3 years ago after a battle with my GP over my TSH result which was nearing 6. I felt awful, was experiencing many symptoms to include a feeling like wading through mud,

My ongoing mystery health problem
My blood tests are back...the only values which are off are oestradiol, which is LOW, and a few other things which having looked them up would point to a problem with my liver, though my liver came back "normal" (apparently nothing much happens until you have actual liver failure though!). My doctor

the phase II BATMAN study.
New study [1] below. As noted by Paul in response to my "Sex steroid induced apoptosis ..." post, BAT is "Bipolar Androgen Therapy" "We have previously documented a paradoxical anti-tumor effect when castration-resistant prostate cancer patients were treated with intermittent, high-dose testosterone.

Transdermal Estrogen Versus Lupron
Dr Myers latest vblog post [1], below. He has previously spoken about very low dose estradiol [E2] (when on Lupron) for preserving bone health. Here he is speaking of high E2 doses to suppress testosterone [T]. In essence, since male E2 is largely a result of the aromatization of T, the male body responds

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Boron
[1] As someone pointed out, in response to a thread on vitamin K2 & bone health, boron is essential too. Deficiency has been linked to osteoporosis [1a, 1b]. I would not want to be deficient. Although boron toxicity in humans is rare, there doesn't seem to be much point in supplementing beyond

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Apigenin
A PCa study involving apigenin has been appearing roughly every 2 months this past 18 years. A bit frustrating, since while apigenin is found in many plants (celery, parsley & chamomile flowers are good sources), no-one saw fit to create a product until a few years ago. The only one I'm aware of is

Transdermal Estrogen + ADT {was Zometa}
Just about to shut down & a new vblog post from Dr. Myers comes in. Very timely, considering my mention of estradiol [E2] patches as an alternative to Zometa for ADT-related osteoporosis. I was a bit cautious in the Zometa post, because I'm not aware of a study that showed that an estradiol patch could

Last try, long protocol whatever that means?! 😁
Well girls, The hospital called this afternoon. After testing Hubby's dna and fragmentation and all clear, we have been granted a last try. Apparently the first try that for cancelled due to a massive estradiol surge to over 7000 was long protocol, the next 2 antagonistic. I have no idea what the difference

Zometa
A. New Italian study below [A1]. Zoledronic acid (Zometa) (ZA) is an intravenous biphosphonate drug approved for osteoporosis. It is also used in PCa for bone pain. B. Does ZA have antitumor properties? It has been reported that ZA has antitumor properties. The new study (more later) concludes that

Worried won't ever get to egg collection.
Day 5 of stimms and oestradiol is 2500. Have scan in the morning but so worried I'm gonna over-stimulate and this cycle will be cancelled. Had last cycle cancelled as oestradiol only went to 150 after being on 150 of Gonal F, now on 300 of Gonal F. Has anyone else had high oestradiol this early on and

Hormonal changes after localized PCa treatment.
Fascinating new study from Spain [1]. Brought to mind a 1998 Patrick Walsh study (Johns Hopkins) [2]. Hormone levels were measured before surgery & one year after surgery: "... there was a statistically significant increase in serum testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, LH and FSH .., and statistically
