Showed that she is underactive. After 2 further blood tests at the hospital Endocrine unit they did an MRI scan on her brain, all seemed ok with that, then they said she needed another blood test, took one lot of blood, injected some fluid into her, waited half and hour, took more blood, then again half an hour later more blood. I go for the results next week - so worried!! This is what her last notes say :- Cortisol basal 11.6, FSH 5.9, LH 3.7, Estradiol 40, progesterona 0.42, Prolactina 132mUI/L, TSH 2.35, T4L 0.89. I don't really understand what any of this means! I am also underactive and my other daughter is Subclinical. Can anyone help ?

My daughter is 11 years old, has no symptoms but as we live in Spain they do a routine blood test at the 11 year checkup.
do you have any ranges for those results?
also that cortisol level looks low but I don't know if they use the same method/units to test it as we do in uk?
did you ask what test she had done? (where they injected something and took blood?) it sounds like a 'synachten test' to check her adrenal glands/cortisol response....
What an impressive system they have over there and it looks like it works as they seem to have picked up a possible problem.
I had a similar test done a few weeks back and, as nobodysdriving has said, it was to test my adrenal function.
Have a look at this link that explain adrenal fatigue and see if any of the symptoms match your daughters.

Hi, Thank you for replying - I am pretty sure it was a synachten test - it was all written down but they kept the paperwork and I now have nothing - I should have copied it.
Going from an old Blood test sheet the ranges for T4 Libre (free) ng/dl (1.1 -1.7) TSH uUl/ml (0.28 - 4.3) - this is all I have.
They did mention cortisol being low and a response to a certain fluid that they were going to inject. It was all a bit confusing. I had an interpreter with me but didn't have a clue what they meant as I'd never come across it before.
