chest infection
I am currently tapering from 30mg to 25mg prednisolone for GCA. (been taking pred since February). I have had a productive cough and what I believe is a chest infection for 2 weeks. It is definitely better this week than last week and the guaifenesin I have taken has helped. I do not feel unwell

works 4 me
the respiratory nurse suggested I use it for clearing my chest. It worked straight away. 375mg 4x a day. 2-3 days later, and buckets of phlegm š all good. I use it when I need to and it works well for me. Like all things copd, itāll work with some but not with others. I was on guaifenesin (lemsip)

Problem of clearing thick and sticky mucus
My husband has been struggling coughing up thick and sticky mucus day and night. Hospice care prescribed GUAIFENESIN but mucus is stickier and more often coughing up. Breathing and possible changes in MSA factsheet suggesting to take Carbocysteine. Is anyone have same problem? Does Carbocysteine

Guaifenesin
Iām on Seratide 250/50 and fexofenadine for my cough variant asthma. This is the worst time of year for me with the start of the spore season. I have started taking Guaifenesin to try and break down the mucus as Iām drowning in the stuff! Iām just wondering if others have gone this route or what they

First episode of AFIB that was constant. It was 20 hours before I was cardioverted.
Iām not really new to the feeling of an arrhythmia. 3 years ago after a neck surgery I was setting on my couch recovering and went into AFLUTTER/SVT. Luckily my mom was around and I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance immediately! They gave me adenosine and I think ephedrine to try and slow my

Ephedrine Tablets - Bronchial Dilator.
Good afternoon everyone, can I ask if anyone with COPD, Bronchiectasis, Emphysema of CF takes or has ever been prescribed Ephedrine Tablets by their GP. I know it is a Bronchial Dilator and I am thinking of talking to my GP about it. I understand it can be damaging to your heart If misused as it can

Best guaifenesin I've found
Guai-AidĀ® 600mg "Ultra-Pure" Guaifenesin Gelatin Capsules (Be careful tho, they also come as tablets and only 400 mg. Attractive because less expensive but they do not work as well.) I've tried them all, Mucinex, Kirkland brand, Geri-Care, liquid (too much high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners

Acapella green flutter valve
I've been considering this device. Tho no dr has mentioned it I found it looking online at pulmonary therapies. With allergies to mold and dust I live on guaifenesin 24/7. The summer's warm damp weather will make it worse. Does anyone have experience with this device? Is it worth it to get the Acapella

Ephedrine
I'm receiving good treatment for my Asthma from a Specialised Asthma Clinic and have no plans to modify my Meds. However, I recently recalled that, when a child, I use to be given ephedrine tabs for asthma and was greatful for them. Just wondering if anyone with asthma is still treated with Ephedrine
