Does orgasm return post-ADT
I’m into my third month of ADT and have completely lost the ability to orgasm. I am LIVID. I was NEVER told of this side effect. In fact, I was told I’d likely have ED but orgasm would still be possible. Which is an outright lie. Has anyone had the ability to orgasm return after discontinuing ADT or

Sclerosis due to cancer or treatment?
I recently developed sclerosis in my left hip area...painful to sit on a hard surface. PSMA tech wrote 'sclerosis developed consistent with treatment'. Oncologist seems unconcerned. I've read that sclerosis can sometime happen when ADT reduces tumor size, which means the bone has to adjust. The recent

Improved chances of success with ADT?
I'm a Gleason 4+3, group T2C. I completed five sessions of SBRT but the radiation oncologist says staying on Lupron for six months total will improve the odds of success. What I see online, though, is that ADT only improves the odds of success by 1-2 percentage points. If that's the case, it's not worth

Mortality Risk Up for Cancer Survivors With Elevated Loneliness
Especially with men on ADT with the attendant mood swings, depression, fat gain, & loss of libido, I can see how that could occur. https://www.practiceupdate.com/news/45931/2/1?elsca1=emc_enews_daily-digest&elsca2=email&elsca3=practiceupdate_onc&elsca4=oncology&elsca5=newsletter&rid=MjgxNTg3Njk1MzQzS0&

Enzalutamide Plus 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors for Castrate-Sensitive Prostate Cancer
Phase II trial exploring the combination of enzalutamide with five alpha-reductase inhibitors (ARIs) for castrate-sensitive prostate cancer. Driven by observations from geriatric oncology, the study seeks alternatives to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for older, frail men who struggle with its side

Signifficant PSA LEVELS
I'm an 81 year old man who has had an enlarged prostate for several months. PSA tests levels 9.1 and 8.1 (several months apart). My Father died of prostate cancer, which had spread to other parts of his body. Follwing a Digital Anal test, my prostate was reported as "smoothly enlarged and sulcus palpable

Does PSA drop after starting ADT tell us anything?
My husband started Firmagon shots a month ago. Before starting his PSA was 5.9. It was tested a few days ago and it’s 1.4 now. Does this tell us anything of any significance? Thanks!

Terrible sleep issues
So now I’m 10+ weeks into treatment consisting of Lupron+Abiraterrone and have completed 5 of 20 radiation sessions. In many ways things seem to be going very well. My PSA numbers have gone from 8.4 to .2 and still falling. My side effects have been minimal , only lately have I seen some mild hot

Why is my RO changing from Degerelix to Lupron after a month?
my husband started ADT treatment and RO informed him that after a month he will switch to Lupron. Is there a reason why he is doing this? As Lupron I read causes depression, anxiety. And if hopefully Degerelix works why change it? Can we request he not ? TIA.

Interpreting blood tests
I've been on ADT for 4 months in preparation for RT and then HDR BT. I have localised G8 with an initial PSA of 8.1 Prior to commencing ADT, my PSA inexplicably dropped to 4.94 but then rose to 5.37 within 2 months. Anyway, here are my test results before starting ADT; These are Aussie measurements

Thank you
I stumbled on this forum about 15 to 18 months ago. Just to show you how little I knew and how clueless I was I had no idea there was run of the mill prostrate cancer or an advanced form. I just knew I had prostrate cancer and needed to make a decision - surgery or radiation. I stumbled through this

All is not cancer that lights up on the scans! In February, a PSMA PET/CT found nothing abnormal, just a minimal PSMA signal from rib 10 right. But the NaF PET/CT: "On the right, rib 10 has abnormal PET uptake (SUVmax 27.3). The same rib uptake can be seen in previous bone scintigraphy and as a minimal

Anyone find cold plunge or sauna helpful?
I'm six weeks in on ADT. Working to stay ahead of fatigue with resistance training and weighted vest walking as I gear up for radiation and chemo in the next few months. Anyone done any cold plunge or sauna to help battle side effects or get better sleep? What was your experience?

How prostate cancer transforms into aggressive NEPC following treatment with anti-androgen therapy.
This could be a game changer as it could stop PCa from progressing. Science is going to save us. The development of effective anti-androgen therapies for prostate cancer is a major scientific advance. However, some men who receive these targeted treatments are more likely to develop a deadly treatment-resistant
