Drug Effective in 80% of Men With BRCA-mutant Prostate Cancer
All had progressed on ADT; 99% were post-docetaxel, 90% post-abiraterone/
enzalutamide
, 38% post-cabazitaxel. The overall RR was 54% (95%CI 39-69%, meeting threshold for primary endpoint) in the 400mg cohort and 37% (95%CI 23-53%) in the 300mg cohort.

Wondering what is next?
PSA rising slightly so put on zXtandi (
Enzalutamide
) still on Lupron, Zometa. Stopped eating about 3 weeks after going on Enz says everything tastes awful and really salty. Lost 12 lbs in 15 days finally have the weight loss under control with Boost still doesn’t eat much.

Prednisone to Blame for ERA 223 Trial Failure?
The randomized open-label trial is assessing whether upfront use of a combination of
enzalutamide
plus radium-223 improves radiographic PFS compared with
enzalutamide
alone in men with asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic CRPC patients with bone metastases.

Dumb, but I ain't got time to dwell\snivel about the past, so when the the bicalutamide failed after about a year and the good Doctor offered the Provenge, I was on it like a duck on a June bug and requested the

Niclosamide and Bicalutamide CombinationTreatment Overcomes Enzalutamide- andBicalutamide-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Furthermore, combination of niclosamide with bicalutamide inhibits
enzalutamide
-resistant tumor growth, suggesting that the combination of niclosamide with bicalutamide could provide a potential cost-effective strategy to treat advanced prostate cancer that fails to respond to
enzalutamide
therapy.

Carboplatin without a test
With a stage 4/G9 w/bone mets only in '16 and enjoying leuprolide/
enzalutamide
after docatexel (6 in '16), I'd think Carboplat would be a no-brainer. Avodart, as well. What hoops are there? Crabcrusher

Enzalutamide plus BIRM any conflict?
For the past 32 monthsI have been on 3 monthly ADT injections of Triptorilin and I had 6 infusions of Docetaxel. 17 months ago I started
Enzalutamide
My PSA at diagnosis was 78 but since starting
Enzalutamide
has been <0.1. I used to walk a lot but the constant fatigue has been getting me down.

Wanted to share some positive news
PSA started to rise quickly and he started
Enzalutamide
in Jan 2018, within a month PSA had dropped to 0.1 and has stayed there, latest PSA today still >0.1. No side effects, no pain, a little fatigue, but still very active.

Thoughts on BAT
So far, most trials have involved patients who had failed ADT 1 (Zolodex, Lupron) and the second order antiandrogens like
Enzalutamide
and Abiraterone. So they were in the context of evident resistance against Abi and Enza shown by rising PSA (and I think shortening doubling times).

5 years journey for QOL
I would have also liked to try Deithylstilbestrol intermittently at low dose https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2012.11206.x I added oestrogen patches to
Enzalutamide
after it stopped working and his PSA dropped 14 % in 10 days .

My Journey so far since diagnosis of prostate cancer
When it went out of range I was prescribed
enzalutamide
and this worked for about 6 months keeping things in check. However the PSA has now risen again to 34 and the cancer is more advanced in my bones , particularly the right iliac bone.

Castration sensitive vs castate resistant
My husbands PSA became resistant to Casodex/Lupron but he is currently responding to
Enzalutamide
/ Lupron. Does this mean he qualifies as hormone sensitive or as hormone resistant?

Update on PARP inhibitors
MO cancelled Cycle 10 and put me on
Enzalutamide
. 3 months later PSA had risen to 15.1 (Sep 2018, no impact at all on PSADT) so MO discontinued Enza. I was then enrolled in PARP inhibitor trial (niraparib).

My first Post. Guidance needed please.
The plan now is to biopsy the large tumour in the lung but in the meantime I am to start
Enzalutamide
. There was another option to have Jevtana but they thought their was less risk of infections during the planned biopsy if I used enza.
