Might Enzalutamide [Xtandi] sensitize PCa to radiation?
CONCLUSIONS: These results provide evidence that the
enzalutamide
/radiotherapy combination could maximize therapeutic responses in patients with
enzalutamide
-sensitive prostate cancer.

My Story
Also another patient told me that abiretherone had better results than
enzalutamide
but I was offered no advice, only told to choose one or the other. I am an NHS patient so not sure they would allow me to have abiretherone having made my choice.

Latest outcome from Lu177 treatments
To make the next and last treatment more effective, I docs put me on Xtandi,
enzalutamide
because it makes the tumours express more PsMa avidity so that more Lu177 gathers where the Pca is active. I welcome their expertise to supercharge the Lu177. So far, no side effects from Enza Lootamide.

Two new advanced hormonal agents (apalutamide and enzalutamide) increase survival in metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC)
New indications for 2 previously approved drugs - Erleada and Xtandi. I don't have all the details yet on Xtandi, but it is clearly successful for mHSPC. I'll update after the ASCO meeting. Here's what I know so far: https://pcnrv.blogspot.com/2019/05/two-new-advanced-hormonal-agents.html

asking for members' input
For those in favor, any opinions on abi v
enzalutamide
? I know on paper he has responded well to treatment thus far. My dad and I want to be aggressive, and it seems to make sense to continue attacking the sucker from another angle while it is weak. Thanks.

Please shoot holes in this plan.
Dx Stage 4 Gl 9 bone mets only, PSA 41, 6 cy. docataxel, leuprolide since 10/16, PSA 1.2, doubled in a year, added bicalutamide, doubled in a year, swapped out Casodex for
enzalutamide
, roughly half way through the Provenge thang.

Wondering what is next?
PSA rising slightly so put on zXtandi (
Enzalutamide
) still on Lupron, Zometa. Stopped eating about 3 weeks after going on Enz says everything tastes awful and really salty. Lost 12 lbs in 15 days finally have the weight loss under control with Boost still doesn’t eat much.

Drug Effective in 80% of Men With BRCA-mutant Prostate Cancer
All had progressed on ADT; 99% were post-docetaxel, 90% post-abiraterone/
enzalutamide
, 38% post-cabazitaxel. The overall RR was 54% (95%CI 39-69%, meeting threshold for primary endpoint) in the 400mg cohort and 37% (95%CI 23-53%) in the 300mg cohort.

Prednisone to Blame for ERA 223 Trial Failure?
The randomized open-label trial is assessing whether upfront use of a combination of
enzalutamide
plus radium-223 improves radiographic PFS compared with
enzalutamide
alone in men with asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic CRPC patients with bone metastases.

Why I'm here Part 2
Dumb, but I ain't got time to dwell\snivel about the past, so when the the bicalutamide failed after about a year and the good Doctor offered the Provenge, I was on it like a duck on a June bug and requested the
enzalutamide
.

Niclosamide and Bicalutamide CombinationTreatment Overcomes Enzalutamide- andBicalutamide-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Furthermore, combination of niclosamide with bicalutamide inhibits
enzalutamide
-resistant tumor growth, suggesting that the combination of niclosamide with bicalutamide could provide a potential cost-effective strategy to treat advanced prostate cancer that fails to respond to
enzalutamide
therapy.

Carboplatin without a test
With a stage 4/G9 w/bone mets only in '16 and enjoying leuprolide/
enzalutamide
after docatexel (6 in '16), I'd think Carboplat would be a no-brainer. Avodart, as well. What hoops are there? Crabcrusher
