Huang’s research team tested the drug, navarixin, in laboratory and animal studies, demonstrating that it killed hormone-resistant tumors in combination with enzalutamide, where enzalutamide failed on its own.

Participants have received one to two chemotherapy regimens (at least one taxane-based) and progressed on at least one novel hormone therapy (enzalutamide/abiraterone acetate).

All had prior docetaxel, and 82% prior abiraterone, enzalutamide or both. Median duration of cabazitaxel treatment was 3.4 months. Median OS from cabazitaxel initiation was 11.9 months [95% CI: 10.1-12.9].

I'm looking at new drugs; most-mentioned are abiraterone, enzalutamide, and apalutamide (while continuing ADT) -- or some combination. I'd much appreciate advice from those who have tried these. Or maybe I should try one of the others mentioned in your Posts? Many thanks, Yeatz

Or info or involvement in trial using Enzalutamide and Talazoparib?

My current MO has recommended I start enzalutamide (Xtandi). My pending MO prefers darolutamide. Has anyone studied the literature to determine if there is any comparative information on these drugs, as well as apalutamide. Also I’m interested in experience with any of the drugs.

Treatment with enzalutamide must wait. So if you are in my situation, I recommend you that you ask for a SBRT to your oncologist. Regards J.R.P.

I am having difficulty finding papers that compared the outcomes of therapies, such as chemotherapy, abiraterone, enzalutamide or SBRT, which were started late vs early. If any member is aware of published literature describing the aforementioned, it would be greatly appreciated.

Post chemo, salvage radiation, prostatectomy and currently on 4 tabs enzalutamide daily,zoledronic 3 monthly, eligard 6 monthly. The PSA seems to be rising <.01, .01,.013,.02 and now .03 in consecutive months. Doctor has asked to monitor another two months and then go for psma pet scan.

This implies some degree of cross-resistance between enzalutamide and docetaxel with regard to prolongation of survival, and that either of these agents may be effective—but not a triplet with ADT, docetaxel, and enzalutamide.

I remember Dr. Myers being cautious regarding Zytiga vs Xtandi. He said that he generally preferred Xtandi because he said in 25 percent of the cases Zytiga could aggravate the cancer. My notes from that visit are " "In 25% of the cases Zytiga makes prostate cancer more aggressive" I have not seen

Sadly, both Zytiga and Xtandi (Enzalutamide) have failed for me and I will begin chemotherapy on November 8 th I do have a unopened sealed, 30 day supply of Xtandi (Enzalutamide) that I paid 10% deductible on if someone can use it ! Fighting the good fight !! Robert
