Methotrexate issues
For those who have been on this drug; how long were you on the drug before you tried to reduce the prednisone? Also did you get floaters in the eyes from it? I just started taking it by injection twice a week but was not given any direction when to start reduction of pred. I never had floaters before

Telephone follow up conversation
I was so upset yesterday after my telephone follow up phone call from the hospital. Basically the person talked at me, saying I was ok, it was like a reading from a script. I had to interrupt and ask if it was possible for me to speak on three occasions. One of my questions was regard to driving, to

COVID after 2 vaccines and PMR flareup
Covid & PMR I wonder if anyone else has had covid after two vaccines ( Moderna) and experienced PMR flareup. I was ill with covid for 2 weeks loss of taste is still a problem and tiredness. I was not completely bedridden and would consider I had it mildly coughing and needing to sleep each day. I was

Does anyone experience excessive floaters in the eye?
Over the years I have experienced floaters in my eyes of various shapes and sizes. Two weeks ago I had my second cataract operation, over the last few I’m experiencing floaters which are more akin to black rain drops! Now and again they can make me jump, as it appears on looking down my top is covered

My Ex is giving up
Yesterday my ex’s sister called to say the end is upon us and she granted me permission to see my ex. We communicated through squeezing (as much as he could squeeze) hands and eye contact with tears. I brought up episodes from our time together and we both just stared at each other ….. knowing there

Leaving Pegasys behind
Saw new haematologist in Toulouse ( France)last week. After long discussion doctor’s advice was that I stop taking Pegasys. A decision I think I’d already realised I needed to take. I tolerated the drug well for 6-7 months, but for the last 4-5 months the side effects have been getting progressively

Pressure testing before surgery.
Interested to hear comments about patients not having their eye pressures checked prior to surgery. I had aqueous shunts in both eyes for normal tension glaucoma. At the first operation the anaesthetist asked me my pressures as he had some difficulty putting the anaesthetic fluid around the eye, which

👋🏻 Another newbie
Hey everyone! I wanted to join a few groups including this one to see if I can relate to anybody about my chronic pain. My doctor initially mentioned it could be Fibromyalgia, but no official diagnosis, 18months later I’ve plucked up the courage to restart investigations and talk to my doctor again

Update on cataract op and Flecainide
I posted recently about a comment my surgeon made after my first cataract op when he said that Flecainide had made the first op slightly more awkward than normal. Today I had my second review and asked him for more detail. He said that Flecainide makes the central black part of the eye 'floppy' and

Sore eyes and mouth.
Michelle Holder. Hi, I contacted you before when I had very sore eyes. I also developed a mouth ulcer that became infected. Now I have sore eyes again. I used antibiotic drops for eyes and steroid lozenges and oral antibiotic for my mouth. Could you tell me if the antibiotic eye drops worked successfully

Myo-inositol - Random Wondering
Lately I've been feeling better (diagnosed with REMSBD, not PD) and with my kitchen sink attitude towards supplements it can be hard to tell why. One of my "way out on a limb" protocols is taking 100 mg of selenium with 750 mg of Myo-Inositol every day. I take these together because I saw a study on

Pegasys injections now hurt
Hi all, I have ET and have been injecting Pegasys weekly since around March this year. I always choose my abdomen as my thighs are a bit solid and it never used to hurt but the past few times it hurts when the needle pierces the skin. It often takes two or 3 attempts and now I’ve built up a bit of a
