We started our IVF journey in June 2020 and have had 7 transfers … 5 failed , 1 chemical in December 2021 and a miscarriage in April this year . We have 1 more chance so am happy to try anything … after a review with the doctor they are keeping me on the same protocol and just adding in aspirin if it

TET2 Mutation
I have ET JAK2 pos and take hydroxycarbamide and low dose aspirin. After a routine blood test I've been informed that I have another mutation known as TET2. Can anyone throw any light on this please, what is it and what does it mean? Thanks Ian

Ibuprofen and aspirin
I have ET and normally take a 75mg aspirin alongside my Anagrelide, however my severe arthritis is having a major flare up, co-codamol isn’t touching it so I have had to take Ibuprofen for a couple of days. I haven’t taken my aspirin as I didn’t want to overdo the thinning drugs. It’s starting to calm

What pain killers can I take when on HU?
I am experiencing terrible pain in my left hip/ thigh and leg and slept for only one hour last night. I had an X-ray and blood tests on Wednesday and await the X-ray results. Nothing was broken luckily. But meanwhile I am taking paracetamol every four hours which really doesn’t do much. As I’m on Hydroxycarbamide

Can I still cycle?
I was recently diagnosed with severe right aorta heart disease (moderate on the left). I've been put on various meds (statin, aspirin, anti-anginal). When my doctor explained what was happening I asked about exercise as I cycle quite a bit. He told me that I could continue but shouldn't cycle up hills

Pre diabetic
Hello. I had a mild heart attack in October and now have been told I'm pre diabetic. Would the tablets I'm on have anything to do with this? Candesartan, Bisoprolol, Aspirin, Eplerenone, Omeprazole, Ticagrelor & newly started Rosuvastatin (as ALT level was high on previous statin)?

Finally, my first Pegasys injection!
Hi all! After waiting for 3 months for a drug change, I finally had my first Peg injection this past Tuesday. My local hem/onc doc prescribed 90mcg for my first and my next injection in 14 days and 135mcg and then up to 185 in another 14 days. Not sure why she is going every other week. 🤷🏻♀️ I did

Aspirin
When I started taking Aspirin I noticed all sorts of strange colours coming up on my arms . A bump would lead to a huge reddish bruise. Well now I don’t seem to have any of that two years later. Does anyone else encounter this

Is it common to get chest pains with thyroid problems?
I saw a post today from someone who was having chest pain with their thyroid problem and was wondering if my pain could indicate I have the same. I have been in A&E today for the second time in 10 days with ongoing short, sharp pain on the left hand side of my chest with palpitations. Last week they

Stomach Problems: Heart medication or late onset IBS?
Hi, Has anybody suffered from stomach cramps, gurgling, bloating and wind as a result of any of the following medicines? Ticagrelor 90mg, Atorvastatin 80mg, Lansoprazole 30mg or dispersible aspirin. I am 7 months into taking medication after my stent and everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago. Now

Aspirin report
Friends, I apologize for the typo in my earlier post of today. The aspirin report was issued on April 26, 2022, not on April 26, 2002. I acknowledge and thank both Otterfield and Hunter for their replies.

Should over 75 old patient with ET continue to take baby aspirin?
Hello, I am 78, have ET and on Droxia, with platelets in low 600 range. My hematologist insists that I should continue with daily baby aspirin despite USPSTF report of April 26, 2002 suggesting that it may be reasonable to consider discontinuing aspirin use around age 75 years due to little benefit.
