Hello everyone! I am new here.
i was diagnosed with COPD in 2006 asthma and
emphysema
, although I beleive it has been going on way before but the symptoms did not appear severe till 2010, since then I have been a complete recluse... I live alone no family and my friends are either dead or moved to other states.

Exercise? Lucky You!!!
I have COPD/
Emphysema
. I smoke. I know the two do not good bedfellows make. I'm constantly seeing the advice and to be honest, it gets on my nerves! I am not able to give up the worlds most addictive substance without help and support but there isn't a stop-snaking clinic that I can get to.

viagra to the rescue?
Intuitively, and I'm asking for anyone to comment, it seems that too much O2 had "spoiled" my (bronchial/
emphysema
) damaged lungs and they were not "waking up" like they had been doing for months once I got out of bed (off the hose).

Improvement on spirometry - Is it possible?
Since I found out my chest x-ray showed
emphysema
(on oct 31, a Halloween to remember I guess) I've been reading anything and everything about it. A few nights ago I saw a post where someone said their spirometry had improved.

How long have fellow members been stage 3?
My father has stage 3
emphysema
his last lung function test was 47% in June. I was wondering how many years some of the fellow members have been stage 3 or stage 4?

End stage copd/emphysema
SO glad I happened on this sight. I AM learning more here than GP. Everything I read so far from others is not to worry about what stage you are in, butI do worry because most don't saynif they are on oxygen or not. I HAVE been on oxygen for 2 years only when I am on the move. Told I would be on oxygen

Inhaled Glutathione
As it turns out, what she has is more like
emphysema
than asthma. She’s never had anything similar to an asthmatic attack. Her breathing has just gotten steadily worse over the years.

Need some help on understanding...
And she was told due to the
emphysema
she had a barrel chest. Does anyone out there understand that or know what that means? Also I sweat all the time sometimes uncontrollably. I'm not just talking about night sweats, I am talking about all day all night.

Rapid heart rate
I have
emphysema
(FEV1 29-30) so not quite end stage but very close. On 02 24/7 still independent but now walking is becoming an issue because my heart rate goes so high I become very SOB! Doc said my blood pressure was high. Lungs were clear so my SOB Is due to heart.
