Eliquis

Originally the blood thinner was warfarin, but I was recently switched to Eliquis/Apixaban and I am suffering from difficulty breathing at the least exertion, a dry cough, low level headache and palpitations. I just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience with Eliquis/Apixaban.

How to deal with the shortness of breath attributed to Eliquis. Is there a good time to take it to avoid the side effect when walking as part of my exercise program? Is there another blood thinner that does not have this side effect?

Can Eliquis cause false positives? Does this mean I have APS for sure? I have to wait until Wednesday to speak to my Rheumatologist/APS Specialist but I am very worried. Is APS a death sentence?

Rather than take the prescribed Eliquis daily, which I was told at Walmart cost $1600+/- for a 3 months supply, can I just rely on my flecainide when I enter Afib instead.

I am going for a Cardioversion in 6 weeks for my Persistent Afib, so am on Eliquis in preparation to accompany my (delightful!) Bisoprolol. How successful is the procedure? Any poll anywhere?

Hi everyone, I'm 28 years old and was diagnosed with a DVT 6 days ago (currently on 20 mg eliquis and 81mg aspirin daily), this is my second DVT in 8 months.

I have a major dilemma. My dilemma is this: do I continue taking the blood thinner (Apixaban) and bring about damage to my kidneys and liver, OR do I stop taking it and take chance having a stroke? But again, there is another huge fear: blood thinners do cause, in some people, hemorrhagic stroke.

How should those of us with a-fib who are on Eliquis deal with a fever IF we catch the Corona virus?

Spoke with the interventional cardiologist today (by phone of course) - he thoroughly reviewed my tests and suggested that I dont close it (if its in fact there) and that I stay on my 2x daily baby aspirin, switch from eliquis (apixaban) to plavix (clopidgrel) and continue the Pegasys to fight the PV

This past year it is becoming active and I’m taking eliquis and metoprolol 200mg daily and fast acting metoprolol 25mg when I feel afib. Now cardiologist says nxt step is to be admitted to hospital fr three days to see if I can tolerate new med. sounds scary but I’m afraid I will have to go for it.

I'll be starting on Pegasys shortly, but curious if anyone else has been on eliquis longer-term and dealt with any side effects?

I was told I would have to stop my Eliquis for 6 days before and two days after surgery. these seem long to me. I would like to know what is a reasonable time to go without the drug.

Hi ... can l take Eliquis with squid oil? Why was l prescribed 5.0 mg. Eliquis twice per day instead of 2.5 mg. Twice per day? Why do they start with the higher dose rather than the lowest dose? It’s weird!

On Eliquis and for the first time have a bloody nose that continues for a few hours now. First time this has happened. Others have that happen to them?

I will take Eliquis anti-coagulant for 10 days (doctor says it should be a month)..I had very little pulse/circulation for 15 hours, so there is a possibility some minor clotting may have occurred… Lessons: Take beta blocker Immediately an event happens ..

On a twice daily baby aspirin and eliquis, and starting pegasys soon. How life altering was this for you - particularly mentally? I consider myself and identify as a super healthy person - I eat well, I work out. Like how do you cope?

I have been on Eliquis since 2018. My question to you all... any of you taking Anti-Anxiety medicine with your blood thinners and if so, what kind. (I know about interactions with SSRI's, but my doctor says that it is in theory only.) Thanks for sharing your thoughts and God's blessings.

Have been changed to Eliquis but within one day feeling weak, dizzy, weak legs also numbness I. Feet and legs. Now nervous about all blood thinners.

I have A Fib/Flutter on sotalol & eliquis. I want very much to get off meds if at all possible. In October I had a bad month with several bouts of AF, not my norm. By the end of the month was preparing (mentally) for ablation. Just needed to schedule.

Has anyone tried Eliquis generic meds from India , I believe?
