Blood Thinners & Anti-Anxiety Meds

Hello, I have followed many of your posts and threads and they have brought comfort to me in my times of difficulty. THANK YOU. I had an ablation 11 months ago, for SVT, they went in thinking it was A-fib. Healing was slow, but pretty good overall. I have been on Eliquis since 2018. My question to you all... any of you taking Anti-Anxiety medicine with your blood thinners and if so, what kind. (I know about interactions with SSRI's, but my doctor says that it is in theory only.) Thanks for sharing your thoughts and God's blessings.

Taking Valium ( diazapam) as needed. Also on Eliquis.. doesn't seem to create any prob

lems. Have been on both for several years.

I have been on Alprazolam for years before I was diagnosed with AF. I take a Beta blocker and Xarelto, my Cardiologist has no problem with the Alprazolam as anxiety is a trigger for my PAF

I had to stop / am unable to take escitalopram because of AF (which I take Eliquis for).

I take sertraline. It’s the best one yet for me. Takes the sharp corners of life off. Helps me sleep. I am an emotional person so cry a lot with good reason. Sertraline helps with that. I take Pradaxa and have no side effects at all. I think it helps to when AF creeps up to help with the anxiety of it.

I’m on a low dose too 50mg. Wishing you well.

I have used Citalopram, without trouble for several years.
