Anxious from lack of info
Started Apixiban (
Eliquis
); 5 days later eyes were bloodshot and vision blurry. Headaches too. Five months later eyes remain bloodshot. Optometrist offered little info. GP said krill oil to help. I can't take krill oil as I am to start on Xarelto (rivaroxaban) now.

Clarifying previous post re ELIQUIS AND XARELTO-- HOW DO YOU TEST THAT THEY ARE WORKING?
After researching for a long time i started taking
Eliquis
. My cardio prefers Warfarin, since you can monitor therapeutic range and there is an antidote. Research and doctors say there are no reliable monitoring tests for
Eliquis
, and no research on bariatric surgery effects on anticoagulants.

Eliquis and Xarelto for A-fib: how do you know it's working?
HI -- i've had a-fib for several years but only recently started anticoagulant:
Eliquis
. If anyone here takes this or Xarelto -- do you get blood tested for coagulation rate? how do you and your doctor know if it is working, being properly absorbed, or if you are in theraputic range?

3 months post ablation follow up and stopping Eliquis in 3 months?!
I was off Metoprolol and Flecainidine after 1 months and he suggests to stop
Eliquis
after another 3 months (6 months after ablation) despite the fact that I am 67.

Eliquis and Diastolic Heart Failure
I've been on
Eliquis
for 1-1/2 months. At first I was having a problem with low blood pressure. I noticed that 2 hours after I took
Eliquis
(5 mg.), my blood pressure would drop considerably, e.g. from 102/68 to 90/58.

Phrenic nerve damage
A cardioversion was done and I seem to be back in rhythm and also given Multaq in addition to the
Eliquis
and Metoprolol. I had googled the shortness of breath after ablation and found the phrenic could be damaged.

Second Cryo-ablation day 13 post op
Still on the Cardizem and the Sotalol and the
Eliquis
until my June 9th followup when I hope to be weaning off the drugs. Energy is pretty good. Attitude is great. Sleeping well. No chest discomfort or extra fast heart rate. I'm at 70-75 bpm for the most part. Optimistic about my future from afib.

Eliquis (Apixaban) and Vitamins?
Ive read
Eliquis
has no dietary restrictions, so does this mean i can take the multivitamin? Or atleast some Bs and Mag to help with hormones? Ive done some research but not much in the way of
Eliquis
has turned up.

Eliquis (apixaban) sticker shock in USA - how is it in UK?
When I picked up my first 30 day supply of
Eliquis
I was told that it costs $420.00. After pharmacist checked with my drug insurance it came to $199.00. The first thing that came to my mind was how can so many people without insurance afford to get it.

2 months & still waiting for cardiologist
I was prescribed
eliquis
but the GP phoned me a few hours later to say I shouldn't take them because of my age (late 60s). I've been waiting since I was told I had SVT to see a cardiologist and probably have an echo, but I've been told I probably will have to wait another 2 months.

Off of Flecainide and Metoprolol just 1 month after ablation
So far so good - one week drug free except
Eliquis
. I still have abdominal cramps 5 weeks after my ablation. As for fatigue and shortness of breath I was OK the first 2 weeks but into the 3rd week I couldn't walk to my kitchen without stopping to catch my breath.
