Is it bad for you to just wait out an Afib spisode.
Over the last month I went into Afib 6+ times. The first one lasted about 12 hours. The next 3 I ended up in emergency and they had to cardiovert me. The 5th time lasted 24 hours. The 6th time, however, lasted 5 days. But I was so fed up with sitting in emergency for 12 hours and getting my chest blasted

ICD beeping at 5am
My husband had his ICD fitted 2 weeks ago, I heard it beeping yesterday morning at roughly 5am, it only beeped for a short while, does anyone know what this means? I know my husbands arrhythmia is worse when he's sleeping, it hasn't beeped since x

Good resources regarding vagal AFIB?
Does anyone have any good resources (articles, YouTube videos) directed to vagally-mediated AFIB (the type that occurs after a large meal or while sleeping)? I believe my AFIB was triggered by endurance athletics (I used to do long bike rides and probably overdid it and stressed my body too much).

Amiodarona- I’ve been on it a week and feel very shaky, almost like tremors inside. Just wondering if I should continue with it ?
I am on holiday in Spain had a bad AFib attack with RVR ended up in intensive care. Long story short they put me on Amiodarona and I’m feeling very fatigued still (8 days after discharge) and very shaky. Thinking about coming off the drug since I really don’t feel good on it - thought at first it was

bradycardia interrupting sleep
I’m waking up during the night with low heart rate 42-48 bpm and a feeling that my heart is labouring. This is usually twice in the night and I often can’t get back to sleep after 4.00am. I think sleeping on my back doesn’t help ( I try not to) and my other half tells me I snore. Tried all the sleep

Eligard for me= poison
When getting Eligard shots after prostatectomy and radiation it was holding PSA level down. It also turned my thoughts angry and disgruntled. Doctor Larock from Mattapoisett is treating me with Flutamide and Bicalutimide 1 pill day each. Thanks Jesus I can write this and feel pretty good for 75. Eligard

Flecainide
I had a recent AFIB episode on Sunday. This was the first time I would take Flecainide PIP, and the EP wanted me to take it at the ER. He prescribed me 50 mg. I am on 180 mg of Extended Release Diltiazem. The attending ER doctor did not think 50 mg would make a difference (he said it should be 200

Convergent ablation procedure
hello all, I have had persistent AF for about a year after a few years of PAF (initially diagnosed as panic attacks). I was on BISOPROLOL 3.25 and Apixaban 2x day. I had a successful CV in February this year and have reduced my BISO to .625. I do not tolerate the drugs well including the anticoagulant

New FDA approved therapy (fingers crossed!)
Dear fellow RLS sufferers: My Kaiser doc informed me that there is a new device just coming to market for RLS. It has been approved by the FDA for mod-severe RLS, and is currently available in three states, CA being one. The machine is called the NXT 100 ToMAC, and it is somewhat similar to TENS.

My ICD works: Mind blown and feeling wobbly
Wow. My ICD did its fast pacing (ATP/anti-tachy pacing) earlier this week. I've only had the device for a couple of months. It quickly and safely brought me out of a dangerously fast arrhythmia. I wasn't aware the device was doing anything, but was aware of the episode as I felt really lousy and nearly

To travel or not…
I am very thankful to have found this group as it has provided considerable amounts of information that otherwise can be a challenge to find even with the internet at our fingertips. I am a 55 year old man who was officially diagnosed with AFib in December 2021 after spending the night in the hospital

AF triggers
I wrote this as a reply to another post but decided that it would just be hijacking the original post, so started a new one. I definitely have triggers for AF. Anything that my body doesn’t like will trigger AF. I have a very difficult diet. I am intolerant to gluten, dairy and soya. If I have any
