Mysterious chest pain
Sent to cardiologist for
echocardiogram
who thought it was pericarditis - but that did not show in the
echocardiogram
. I do not have racing heart or palpitations. Pain is terrible esp when lying down or bending over. I am at a loss.

Might give someone hope…
He was placed on 8 different types of medication and had cardioversion. 6 months later he has been for another
echocardiogram
and in his follow up cardiologist appointment yesterday we got some fantastic news. He is now sitting around 50% EF and his heart is still in sinus rhythm.

Should you see a Cardiologist Specialist?
After a few visits to A&E last year, commencing in June, I was diagnosed with PAF, started on Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban, I eventually had an
Echocardiogram
in June this year with a report that all was okay. I have just returned to the gym and swimming this week.

Leaky valve question.
I was referred to cardiology for a leaky heart valve after an
echocardiogram
. I saw a consultant today. He said everyone has leaky valves and I have nothing to worry about, that my echo results are normal. Has anyone else experience of this?

Myopericarditis how long to recover
I had an angiogram which was clear, then an
echocardiogram
which was also clear. After 5 days the cardiologist says it's myopericarditis due to a virus and prescribes colchicine for 3 months and ibuprofen for 2 weeks and I'm discharged but should get a cmri scan at some point.

Unexpected unstable angina
The consultant is sending me for a stress
echocardiogram
and my meds have been increased. I currently feel ok, but have been told to scale back on exercise until investigations are complete. I do feel like my heart has been through more with this angina event than I ever did following the HA.

Echo waiting times
I assume it varies from area to area but has anyone any idea what the waiting time is for an
echocardiogram
? Non urgent. My diastolic pressure has dropped really low so my GP has referred me for one..

Vaccine induced myocarditis
There, they did a full blood panel,
echocardiogram
and started her on colchicine and ibuprofen. The
echocardiogram
was normal. Her pain could not be controlled until they gave her a narcotic, but even when the pain was gone, the crushing tightness was still there.

Help interpreting letters
Received two letters recently after having two tests -
echocardiogram
and 24 hour ECG. I have a telephone appointment with my GP and hope he can clarify, but that’s not for 3 weeks. Can anyone tell me what the letters say, in plain English? Thanks.

A question about Flecainide
I had thought it was common practice to have an
echocardiogram
before prescribing the drug but I was told that it would be better for me to have it after the cardioversion. I have one coming up next month.

Excellent consultants visit!
ECG done,
Echocardiogram
done. Saw the very nice consultant who said that they will be doing something to patch my holes! If possible they will use the umbrella like thing, but if it is too big/complex they will have to do open heart patching!

Geoffa1 ablation recovery
Had my 6 mth follow up
echocardiogram
, pacemaker read out and EP visit. Very positive outcome, pacemaker proves no AFIB since ablation and
echocardiogram
very good. No longer on beta blocker just Zarelto.

Cardiac MRI Finds Thrombus
A recent
echocardiogram
showed an ef of 43, up one from 42, but an MRI revealed a thrombus. No. He didn’t jump any queues – he went privately on a need-to-know basis. Apparently he needs to start clopidogrel and edoxaban instead of aspirin and prasugrel.

Some good news
It is 18 months since my total LAD blockage, heart attack and stent and I felt it was time to get a fuller picture of recovery so I booked an
echocardiogram
and stress
echocardiogram
at my 6 monthly check up with the cardiologist. 105% of target heart rate achieved on the stress
echocardiogram
and no

Signal drop - possible VSD on CT scan- could this be incorrect?
I’ve just had a letter through to attend an urgent
echocardiogram
after my cardiac CT scan about 3 weeks ago. On three occasions I experienced chest pain during high intensity exercise hence the initial referral for suspected angina.

HELP - ECG AND ECHO WAITING ON RESULTS
However, within 6 weeks of the ECG I was invited for a transthoracic
echocardiogram
which I had this week. The test lasted around 30 mins. I wondered if this is common procedure or if it implies that the ECG at the hospital has shown something?

Here we go again……..!!
and have been waiting nearly a month now for an
echocardiogram
to determine the structure of my heart with a view to taking Flecainide as a PIP? He said the goal was to try and abate persistent Afib for as long as possible?
