Is it ok to keep doing chores when breathlessness hits?
There was also talk of strain on heart &
Echocardiogram
done, I was not informed of the result. Am home now and starting to pick up some household chores my question is:- Worried about putting any strain on my heart, do I need to stop chores & sit down when breathlessness hits.

Anyone have bradycardia after an SVT episode?
I have had three episodes in the past year of what they think may be SVT. After having one abnormal ekg they put me in a heart monitor for a month, echo-cardiogram, and a second ekg not long after the first. I passed all the lifeline screening tests with excellent health. The cardiologist said my heart

Good Morning from Rainy Manchester
Two weeks ago my medication was stopped because a recent
echocardiogram
show some changes to my ejection fraction. The ejection fraction is a measure of how efficiently your heart is working.

Sore, weak, tired, slightly swollen legs?
I know my heart is ok as I had an
echocardiogram
. So here's the question: any of you guys ever had this too? Is this likely part of the CLL? Interestingly I'd been told I should get flight socks as I'm bracing a short flight tomorrow.

Tests almost completed!
. :-( Chest X-ray clear,
echocardiogram
good, my heart device is still in place, spleen & liver ok although the guy was in a rush and did it in 7 mins!!! No autoimmune disease active!! :-) Waiting for JAK2 to come back. It seems it's looking likely to have either JAK2+ pv or idiopathic pv.

High Blood Pressure and EP appointment
Also, should I ask the cardiologist who diagnosed my AF in March for a copy of my results (
echocardiogram
and 7 day monitor) to take with me or send prior to the appointment? I still don't take any medication specifically for AF, apart from Apixaban.

Interstitial Lung Disease
This last month my ribs have been achy especially during exercise and there have been some sublte changes to my hear output on my
echocardiogram
. I have had a couple of lung function tests that showed some 'stiffness' but that I was able to transfer oxgen from my lungs to my blood.

A little bit of a treatment break
On the trial I am required to have an
echocardiogram
every 8 weeks to make sure my heart is ok. My most recent echo showed some slight changes to the output of my heart. When I had the echo it felt more uncomfortable and I was very short of breath.

Had cardiology appointment today, no real progress!
He listened to what I had to say to some degree, then had a listen to my chest, said there's nothing obvious he could hear so suggested a 24hr ecg and
echocardiogram
which I'll have to wait for.

Recently diagnosed.
Hi everyone, I recently spent a terrifying night in A&E - Resus with a rapid heartbeat and Palpitations. I had been experiencing attacks for several months on and off, but as I suffer with Anxiety I just put these attacks down to that. This last attack felt different, it was as though I had a wild

Transthoracic Echocardiogram?
Hi all, Just wondering if anybody has been referred for a Transthoracic
Echocardiogram
before? Is this just a normal diagnostic test for all SLE patients recently diagnosed or is there possible cause for concern, hence the testing? Any help would be greatly appreciated! x

Weird chest...
I have had a ECG, chest X ray, and
echocardiogram
done, and the results from both came back as fine. My blood pressure is a tad above normal, but my doctor has put this down to white collar syndrome, as it fell substantially after the 2nd test.

Just started Prednisone 5mg and Xeljanz ER to go along with the Sulphasalazine....
Since starting Sulphasalazine, my cardiologist, who prescribes my BP meds noticed a change in my heart rythms and he had me do a stress test and new
echocardiogram
last Wednesday. I don't know the results yet (obviously). I started the Xeljanz and Prednisone after the tests on Friday.

Where have I been?
I will be seeing a doctor tomorrow to get an
echocardiogram
and then next month will be seeing a heart specialist to see what treatment/medication (if any) is required.

Hi Folks, I am a 73 yr old male. I have had copd for about 3 years, but the past 2/3 months its been really bad, and just standing up or body movements, can make me breathless. I have been in hospital a few times with low oxygen saturation, and have a finger monitor to keep an eye on it, which ranges

Heart failure or bradycardia?
Just wondering if these two diseases can go undetected when all tests have come back clear- 24 hour ecg monitoring test, few normal ecgs,
echocardiogram
. Could it be possible that these tests were 'acceptable', but only just passing this assessment?
