Supra ventricular tachycardia
I also had an
echocardiogram
which showed no abnormalities. My GP put me on 180mg Tildiem (Diltiazem) a day at the end of January, I have been getting more palpitations (svt) and also a pounding, rapid heart beat, mainly when in bed rested.

A little advice before i see cardiologist on Monday please.
Junes LV was 40%, had another
echocardiogram
in November 2018, no results showing yet on the NHS computer, which is worrying.

Afib and COPD management
Hi, my husband has moderate COPD and has just been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, we are still waiting for
echocardiogram
results. I just wondered if anyone else suffers from Afib with COPD and if so, do they still take oral steroids during an exacerbation.

Bad news
Cardiologist suggested that I have a us stress
echocardiogram
done. Prior to this I was able to spend time in gym daily and I was able to do aerobics, steps yoga etc. I never got the pain when I did these exercises. Only when I jogged I had the pain.

Pre op Tests
The Consultant at Ipswich Hospital said I needed the following tests. 1) Lung function test 2) Transesophageal
Echocardiogram
3) Angiogram 4) Carotid Doppler Scan Unfortunately the angiogram showed that I have 2 arteries with 75/94% narrowing and 2 arteries with 50/74% narrowing.

Licence renewal at age 70
Now my last review was in December 2018 and a
echocardiogram
in July 2018, these had a good report. So what's going on? DVLA is paying for the Cardiologist so what a waste of money and my time.

Pre-ablation tests
Just wanted to ask here brave ablation veterans if anybody had to undergo "CT Angiogram of the heart for pulmonary vein mapping" and "trans esophageal
echocardiogram
" testing before ablation? I am scheduled for my first ablation next week and was told to undergo above tests before the procedure.

Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia??
The cardiologist completed some bloodwork, EKG, 24 hour Holter monitor and an
echocardiogram
. My blood work and EKG came back normal, the Holter monitor showed some palpitations I was having and the
echocardiogram
showed my heart to be in good health.

Wait for Stents & Echo Cardiogram
Hi My husband, aged 58 had an angiogram on 17th Dec. Put him aspirin, beta blocker and statins. Blood pressure and cholesterol always been good. He was told he needed an Echo and 2 stents and would receive a phone call on 20th Dec. Having not heard anything after a month contacted hospital, who apologised

Atrial fibrillation effects on life.
I went to my doctor who swapped me to calcium channel blockers and set me for an
echocardiogram
. I dug my heels in and asked for a referral to a cardiologist. I am not prepared to just go away and take pills, I want to know what's going on.

The cardiologist has ordered an
echocardiogram
and ultra sound so we will see if there is any underlying issue. Let me know your thoughts - and thanks for this wonderful group. This site is my life saver😊 Caroline

Need a smaller dose of Levothyroxine after 5 years?
No evidence of any heart disease on the ecg, but awaiting an
echocardiogram
to confirm. For last couple of mornings have felt jittery and light headed about an hour after I've taken the Levo. BP and pulse are normal. Could it be that I suddenly need a smaller dose?

Tachycardia without a reason
Blood results all came back normal and I had a repeat ECG the following day, I was then referred to the hospital and had an
Echocardiogram
and a 24hr ECG.
