Dopamine responsive dystonia
I was diagnosed with drd in 1988 and have done well since then on co beneldopa, but I'm starting to have a few symptoms now which make me wonder if it's coming back. Has anyone else had similar long term treatment, how are you getting on? I've never met anyone with the same diagnosis, so would be very

Mucuna Pruriens is a life saver
So amazing how a person can be basically paralyzed with pain and muscle stiffness due to lack of
dopamine
and then when taking L DOPA your symptoms are like night and day... AMAZING stuff!!

Did anyone start treatment taking a dopamine agonist?
I read a bit about these, and some of the side affects seem a bit scary, but it seems that a
dopamine
agonist is often first prescribed to younger patients to save the ledopova for later. I'm curious to hear from those who have taken a
dopamine
agonist as a first course of treatment.

New here!
After 10 years with LDopa treatment, I have more negative effects, like painful dystonias, in phase "off"; in my case, when
dopamine
level in the body is very low. Actually, I want to reduce Sinemet, and I'm very happy to be part of this comunity.

Neurotransmitter testing for rls
to see what supplements you can take to fix the imbalance the author specifically says he did this for himself bc he wanted to get rid of his restless leg We did not do the test but just skipped straight to the supplement part to support the neurotransmitters associated with restless leg (Eg low

Thyroid Ultrasound for Hashimotos?
TSH dramatically dropped by around 1.5 points without subsequent rise in FT4 10 months ago since beginning stimulant medication for ADHD (possible
dopamine
interference in thyroid axis, though for most people the lowered TSH is supposed to be transient).

Need help!
Under pressure, my doctor put me on a
Dopamine
Agonist (Neupro patch) 2mg/24h. I had a great night for the first time in 3 years but was awfully nauseous the next day and had to go back to bed and slept until 2:30p and also slept at night even though I didn't put on the patch.

Growth Factor appears to be what we should all be learning about. Why?
In our case these are the
dopamine
producing cells in our brain and the Growth Factor is called GDNF (Glial Derived Neurotrophic Factor) and that repairs or replaces those cells and gives us more natural

Acetylcholine Deficiency plays a big role in why people with ADHD have multiple troubling symptoms/tendencies.
Interestingly enough it is thought that out of the 7 major
Dopamine
receptors there is a similar variation in the D4
Dopamine
receptor that causes a faster reuptake of
Dopamine
in the brain of people with ADHD.

I am looking to hear from anyone who has been using the velvet bean as a source of naturally occurring source of
dopamine
. I was on Sinemet for about 4 years and developed dyskinesia and had to consider other options.

dopamine
related? I’m curious if any of you have taken topamax and may have noticed these symptoms.

There is a treatment
The brain of people with restless legs seems to need more iron which works as a co-enzyme on the
dopamine
system. The usual tests for iron deficiency don’t indicate deficiency. Ferritin is more helpful but people with restless legs need a level that is mid to high.
