A little chilli this evening
The
dopamine
diet by Tom Kerridge. However due to work pressure in January I am excused cooking duties so Mrs WTP has tried a few. This chilli with green beans and cauliflower couscous is just stunning.

Can certain probiotics increase dopamine
This is intriguing because the one thing people with RLS and Parkinson’s disease is low
dopamine
. I wonder if taking these probiotics could help increase
dopamine

Has anyone been on naltrexone for alcohol cravings?
I just read that it block serotonin and
dopamine
.“” That seems like it wouldn’t be good for someone suffering depression. The page I was reading also said that one of the side effects of drinking while on naltrexone was depression.

Medication other than DA?!
I was just wondering what other treatment is available beside
dopamine
agonists? Should I ask my gp about codeine (I do worry about taking too much paracetamol in the cocodamol) or is there something else?

Madopar Advice
Could this be a sign of reduced
Dopamine
in my system and the medication topping it up ? OR 2. Could it be a sign of too much Madopar leading to "overdose" symptoms ? Anyone else experience this ?

Can augmentation be avoided on DA's?
I am aware from the horror stories on here of the dangers of augmentation from taking
dopamine
agonists. But I am wondering whether it's possible to avoid augmentation by keeping the dose low and also not taking them every day- maybe every other day.

Wellbutrin for ADHD experiences & expertise needed
At first the results were phenomenal - my attention is focused and I no longer crave
dopamine
hits. Those benefits continue now, but I also am less and less interested in people and the activities that used to bring me joy.

Wellbutrin - Looking to hear other's experiences & expert psychiatrist recommendations
What started as an amazing help now seems to have gone too far - I am no longer on a constant quest for
dopamine
hits (a good thing) and am able to focus, but have tipped to the other side where I now have little interest in the things that used to bring me joy.

Seizures and holding hands.
Brain/
dopamine
deficiencies come to mind, but I don't know. She was given Medazolan, which controls seizures, relaxes muscles and a lot more. From memory it is a powerful benzodiazepine. Tremendous thing is that it was already in Liz's palliative care pack. Someone really did their homework.

STUDY: “High Prevalence of Undiagnosed Insulin Resistance in Non-Diabetic Subjects with Parkinson’s Disease”
people with PD may be insulin resistant, despite having normal blood sugar, and in some cases, despite being lean… Another important take-away (although not specifically addressed in the Hogg et al. (2018) study), is that there are an increasing number of studies suggesting that IR negatively impacts

Wellbutrin/bupropion?
In any case, bupropion works by increasing the brains capacity to absorb
dopamine
. I have been taking it in the morning for 15 years now. Based on what I have been reading in these blogs, RLS symptoms are caused by the brains inability to absorb
dopamine
.

Neurology, Oxycodone, and only two days until I finally give up Ropinirole!
The only strange comment (and I’m yet to receive his letter to know if I really did get this right) is that DAs are one thing but
dopamine
itself might help. Has anyone tried
dopamine
(Parkinson’s drug)?
