Hi, I am new to this site. My husband (age 42) was admitted to the hospital in February, as his blood results showed a very high bilirubin count and high CRP. He was yellow and also he had a distended abdomen. However, a day later he was back at home with some antibiotics and laxatives. Since discharge

How little sodium/day is too low?
I am in the process of getting into shape -- primarily to lower my blood pressure. I am eating very carefully. I am consuming far less sodium than I used to, and I am walking 8-9 miles/every 24 hour period. I decided to tally up my actual sodium intake/day. It ranges from 278 mg/day to 638 mg/day, presuming

(sigh) another visit to the Emergency Department
Yesterday (1/29/2021) after dinner I had tachycardia, 135 bpm, diagnosed upon discharge as SVT (again). Coronary Angiogram
I'm due to go into have this on Wednesday. Very relieved, slightly nervous... more than slightly when I think about it too much. The hospital have decided to do a two in one so to speak, if they find it's a blocked artery they will put in a stent whilst I'm there so I'm taking blood thinning tablets

Heart Twinges after physical activity
I had 3 stents fitted after MI in April last year. Every now and then, I get twinges in my heart. I this is normal and nothing to worry about. Amlodipine question
Does anyone know if amlodipine can be taken on an ad hoc need-to basis as opposed to a once-daily therapy? My mom's BP is largely stable on a very low sodium diet, and only spikes if we go off track. Thank you.
