My consultant has suggested I try Valproate or Levetiracetam for my RLS/PLMD. Has anybody tried either of these and had any success or otherwise?

Radium-223 and [177Lu]Lu-PSMA
Has anyone here from Canada had experience with either of the two PSMA treatments. I was all excited about this until I looked into it a bit more and the results seem to be very mixed not to mention the cost of upwards of $27K per treatment (5 or 6 treatments seems to be typical). I have completed 8

Can coughing irritate a new stent & how bad should chest pain be before I use GTN?
Hello, I've got couple of questions - I know pain is subjective but thought I'd ask anyway! It's about 6wks since my HA & stent. The first few weeks after leaving hospital were tricky, with a few random severe pain events that had me whisked into hospital, despite my protestations, and are now

At the crossroads (again)
My profile is up to date, but, briefly, have failed chemo, ADT (am castrate resistant), failed Keytruda and now Pluvicto. Scans yest. & today show progression along with PSA rise. All my mets are in bone. So, my SOC choices are cabazataxel or radium 223. Other options are trial, which are a crapshoot

Moving on to hospice care
many of you have heard from me before at this point. My dad (68, diagnosed almost 2 years ago) had his last appointment with his MO two weeks ago or so. Radium 223 is out of the picture for him as he is just not well and it would not aid his survival at this point. They suggested some radiation for the

Amlodipine for angina
My husband, who is nearly 72, had a heart attack in April last year caused by high cholesterol. He had a stent fitted, told that his heart had no damage and was put on Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day, ramipril 2.5mg twice a day (now changed to Losartan 50mg once a day), ticagrelor for a year and aspirin

ALP AND RADIUM 223
My husband has had 2 sessions of radium 223 and the oncologist is pleased that his ALP has reduced to ‘normal’ levels after the first session and stayed the same after the second. However his PSA has continued to rise and has doubled over the last 3 months since he stopped abiraterone. The oncologist

Nanocarriers study shows antibodies against polyethylene glycol in 83% of the German population
"For us, polyethylene glycol is interesting for coating nano-sized drug carriers with it," says Svenja Morsbach, group leader in Katharina Landfester's department at the MPI for Polymer Research. In this way, the researchers achieve a longer circulation time for the drug capsules, which are only nanometers

Blood sodium levels
Stage 3b My last labs over the past year have had a decrease in my blood sodium levels. Last test was 131. Nephrologist said I need to start eating more protein as that helps to keep sodium in your bloodstream instead of getting out in your body tissue. I don’t have any edema and take a diuretic. Not

suspected epidural tumour
Hi all! Hope you are all doing well. My dad just got his scans back, and to go along with his rising PSA (over 260 now), the said they suspect he has an epidural tumour. Our MO typically glazes past his scan results as she doesn’t seem them significant, I want to make sure I am right to be worried here
