Started 6 cycles of
docetaxel
early April 2018. Have finished 5 cycles, 6th in mid July. Had Neulasta injections after cycles 2 - 5 and will have again next cycle. PSA dropped to 0.8 by 3 weeks ago (will be measured again in 2 days time).

Looking for advice
I am on ADT, Steroids and Chemo (
Docetaxel
). I have had two sessions of chemo so far, with four more to go. My last PSA was 488, so has come down from 10,000 to this. I am so confused by the whole thing.

Good Bye docetaxel hello zevtana
After 8 treatments of
docetaxel
not working doc is switching me to zevtana. PSA is fluctuating from 11.2 to 9.4. Is this stuff worse as far as side effects or is it about the same as
docetaxel
. I do realize everyone is different.

Treatment developments
If this doesn't happen to go quickly onto
Docetaxel
. It was mentioned that my cancer may not be responding to my drugs well as it could be hormone resistant. I had high hopes for the Aberiterone but this now looks unlikely.

PSA
He’s done upfront
Docetaxel
and is on Lupron and Casodex. What does a bump up mean? Is he castrate resistant now???

Concerned Wife
He's Gleason 7 4+3 and has done radiation to his upper spine (cancer gone), he's getting Firmagon and finished his 4th round of Chemo (
Docetaxel
) . His PSA at diagnosis in March 2018 was 1900 it is now 108. I fear his PSA is not coming down fast enough.

Third chemo - PSA keeps dropping
Quick update on
Docetaxel
treatment, had third infusion on Friday. The PSA is down to 1.13 (last one was 1.94 taken just before second chemo). At DX PSA 500 just 4 months ago. Side effects are minimal so far, third day is the hardest it seems: a bit of nausea, weakness and flu-like muscle pains.

Best MO / Cancer Centres in Australia?
I was diagnosed in Feb 2018 and am on Firmagon monthly injections and have so far done 5 cycles of
Docetaxel
. One more to go in mid July. PSA has dropped from 168 to 0.8, testosterone is undetectable, liver enzymes are all in normal range. But my thoughts now turn to what should happen after chemo.

Anyone have docetaxel and radiation together?
My father just finished 2nd round
docetaxel
and 9th radiation. Hes very sick had a blood transfusion, low iron, low sodium. I was wondering if anyone had a similar reaction? I was looking online and it said the two can interact. The doctor never mentioned this to us.

LU 177 - protocol in London
He has failed 1st line hormone therapy and had
docetaxel
. He now has a rising PSA on enzalutamide. He is stage 4 with mets. We have an appt with his oncologist, Dr Khoo, this Thursday. Any advice on the process would be gratefully received. And anything else I need to think about. Thanks Siohban

Docetaxel & Nintedanib for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer with Mets to the bones
From next week he will go back onto chemotherapy (
Docetaxel
) along with a targeted therapy in tablet form called Nintedanib. By all accounts it would appear this new regime is quite brutal.

Activity and Safety of Enzalutamide in Patients with mCRPC Previously Treated with Abiraterone Acetate Plus Prednisone for ≥24 weeks.
In another small, prospective study of 24 patients with mCRPC who were treated with enzalutamide after progression with
docetaxel
and abiraterone postchemotherapy, PSA response of ≥50% was 17% and median OS was 4.8 mo [22].

Call it stable or call it NED...whatever, I’ll take it!
Last April, after progression on Carbo/Alimta and Alimta maintenance, I started
Docetaxel
(Taxotere) and Ramucirumab (Cyramza) as second line and I’ve been stable since last August.

Why Metastatic PC is Not Curable

That means that there will always be some cells that don't rely on androgen-receptor activation, some that don't express PSA or PSMA, and some that aren't killed by microtubule stabilization (
).
