Couldn't Do Fourth Round Of Docetaxol: Husband Admitted To Hospital Tomorrow
Hi everyone. So today we couldn't do round 4 of Docetaxol. There was no doctor at the day ward so we are not sure what the reason was. Something was wrong with the bloods. The nurse said "liver is up so the professor wants to hold off", whatever that means. We saw the palliative care doctor, though,

Post chemo and my condition is stable (phew!)
I finished 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
in late June and recently had a CT and Bone Scan to see where things are at. The good news is that I have not had any progression, I have the same number of bone mets as I had in January.

Seventeen of 42 patients with PET-positive results suggestive of advanced metastatic disease were treated with either ADT (15/17) or

Things Very Difficult One Week In Third Cycle Of Docetaxol

MSSC - Spinal Cord Compression
He has started ADT (degarelix to start but now Lupron) along with chemo (
docetaxel
) and has been enrolled onto the STAMPEDE trial. Gets the rare hot flush, but all in all you'd never really guess he was unwell at all.

At The End Of Second Round Docetaxol
Hi everyone. Now we are at the end of the second round. Tomorrow we go in for the third infusion. Paul has been very fatigued throughout this second round. Really, fatigue has been the main problem, and a little bit of nausea during the first couple of days. So I suppose we could say that, while the

Second Cycle Of Docetaxol So far

Xtandi is costly in the Philippines
Uro-onc wanted to try
Docetaxel
but my dad wanted to postpone chemo and instead is leaning towards Xtandi which is another option. But it is quite costly and we cant afford it. I was reading articles from the internet and they say that Canadian pharmacies give Xtandi for a lower price?

Favorable Casodex withdrawal
A month later I started 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
. The chemo helped take my psa down to 0.06. It went up to 0.1 and stayed there for 2 years. 5 months ago my psa jumped from 0.1 to 0.7. So....I went to monthly testing. Next month psa read 1.8.

Docetaxel Side Effects
My husband starts cycle 4 this Friday. Side effects have been not too awful so far. However, since his third treatment he has had painful swelling in the feet. Any tips on how to deal with this side effect? He's pretty miserable.

Post Mastectomy and lymph node clearance (Left side) expectations.
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. It's been a while since my last post but I wanted to ask for some advice. I finished my Docetaxol chemo cycles a month ago and then had to wait until I was well enough for my mastectomy and lymph node clearance on left side. I had the surgery last Thursday

Diet During Chemotherapy
Hi everyone. So today I am writing to you with a very practical question. For those of you who are on Docetaxol, what kind of diet do you find best? Do you leave out certain things or add certain things more? Thus far, I have only found out a lot about foods that support a healthy liver function such

Dad's first Oncology appointment
The oncologist has suggested that Dad gets straight onto chemo (
Docetaxel
) alongside the Degarelix - I know some studies have suggested this is a good thing, but I do have some concerns and just wanted to hear people's thoughts.

Feeling rushed, my last cycle of chemo then surgery.
My last 2 cycles of
Docetaxel
have been a rough time and will be glad to complete cycle 6, I hardly recovered from each cycle before the next one was started.

Anyone have any idea what's next?
They said the cancer was dotted across the bowl like a pearl necklace and chemo was the only option, however she was allergic to Taxol and had 5 cycles of carbo/
docetaxel
before her bowel perforated and the sepsis set in.
