VERU-111 sounds promising, and may be a Godsend for those with very low blood counts who can't get other treatments
“As a benchmark, other drugs that have been used in these patients, like
docetaxel
chemotherapy or additional androgen targeting agents, typically achieve a median progression free survival between 3 and 4 months.

Next steps? Zytiga and Radiation
He also said
docetaxel
is on the table as well. He started with this treatment in July 2021 and it was really effective as lung and liver mets greatly decreased but he had pretty bad side effects. Based on what I've read, it seems to be the right steps. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Life expectancy shock revelation
This would be after finishing
Docetaxel
then having 2nd line Cabazitaxel which would work for 14 - 16 months. I am completely shocked and I'm obviously looking to retire now. With me being so far down the treatment path it's so less likely his prediction will be wrong isn't it?

Triplet Systemic Therapy for low volume mCSPC
The plans is —> ADT + Darolutamide + SBRT +
Docetaxel
. This aggressive plan would not have been the recommendation just a months ago without the latest scans or recent trial results (and continued fast PSA doubling time).

Adding docetaxel for BCR CSPC at 3-mo doubling rate
Third recommendation is 9 months of ADT + abiraterone +
docetaxel
. The addition of
docetaxel
is given the fast doubling rate and the fact that I am otherwise very healthy without symptoms.

Following Docetaxel
I read several months ago that some of you went back on Xtandi after chemo failed. Can I get some help on this. I'd like to try Xtandi again if my OC would agree.

HDR Brachytherapy after the 20 fractions?
Hi all I have recently finished 3 x Lu-177 and 3 x
Docetaxel
infusions whilst hormone sensitive. I have been on Degarelix since November so no idea what's doing what but but my PSA has fallen from 17.6 to 0.19.

Cyclic high dose testosterone + Nubeqa
He said if this fails my next step is
docetaxel
and lupron. All of this has me really nervous and I hope I'm getting the best advice from my MO. Thoughts?

ALT (SGPT) - 5X normal limits - Concerning? Mets to liver lungs and bones
He started Firmagon and then on Zoladex and then 6 cycles of
docetaxel
which finished at the end of November. His mets in general have reduced significantly in both the liver and lungs. His latest PSA test in April 2022 is showing 0.22, doubling about every month.

Nausea after docetaxel
Hello guys, I got my first
docetaxel
infusion a couple days ago and cannot sleep because of strong nausea. My MO prescribed me ondansetron (8 mg tab on the tongue), but it does not work. Could you educate me how to fight this nausea? Thank you.

We have reached castrate resistance...what to do next?
He trialed one round of chemo with
Docetaxel
but had too many side effects to continue. He started and continued monthly Firmagon for 6 months; then took one year of ADT vacation. He then started estradiol patches in July 2021, which worked til about January/February 2022.

Duke CHAMP trial results: Stable
As a review, I had 8 courses of
Docetaxel
before I started the CHAMP trial. During the trial, we paused the immuno therapies twice due to Gastrointestinal havoc (extensive puking and diarrhea). The second bout of GI distress I lost another 7 pounds which I didn't really have to lose.
