Hello guys,
I got my first docetaxel infusion a couple days ago and cannot sleep because of strong nausea. My MO prescribed me ondansetron (8 mg tab on the tongue), but it does not work. Could you educate me how to fight this nausea? Thank you.

Try Shaved Ginger. Most stores or any Sushi restaurant. Some have had success. Old school but healthy approaches are ok too. Best of luck. Mike
I did not experience Nausea so cannot help out there. I did have horrible and relentless arthralgias and outrageous diarrhea. Also problems sleeping and for the first time in my live I took clonazepam to sleep. Hang in there. Taxanes are benign for some but pretty rough on others.
Thank you for responses. God bless you.
Ondansetron worked very well for me, I'm sorry it isn't working well for you. Don't hesitate to let your team know that you need to try something else.
I did oral steroids the day before infusion, and for 2 days after. I did not sleep a lot, but I had no problem with being nauseous. I would be wiped out about 4 days after, for a couple of days. Then other SE later. Keep working on it and talking to your MO or in my case my nurse.
