Figured I'd give you an update from the Duke CHAMP clinical trial I was on. As a review, I had 8 courses of Docetaxel before I started the CHAMP trial. During the trial, we paused the immuno therapies twice due to Gastrointestinal havoc (extensive puking and diarrhea). The second bout of GI distress I lost another 7 pounds which I didn't really have to lose. Of course we halted the trial after that bout and after reviewing my CT and bone scans, my MO and I jointly decided to halt the trial as my scans show my cancer is stable, i.e. not progressing.
So, now I'm in the progress of trying to gain my weight back, working out and eating as much as I can. I hope to get strong again before we try what's next.
Cheers!

Hi Nal. Hope you're doing well. I am at almost 8 years now with a 212 PSA to start with with plenty of mets. So far I am on stable disease but with lots of medicine. I am pretty happy with how things are going now. My PSA now is <.01 which is undetectable in my oncologists eyes. I am very lucky to say the least.
Lost my prostate almost 3 years ago when I went to India. The vaccines I did in India did save me for awhile.
Thank you for the update - you have been absolutely amazing - I hope you get your strength back soon. Stable is great. Wishing and willing you strength. Nicola
