Hi All, I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful sunny day (well it is in the south of UK)! I had a phone consultation with my GP after test results and she got advice from the endo. Dr said she’s not going to prescribe levo yet(as I expected) and booked me in for a repeat blood test in a month. She did

Perhaps not utilising B12 - how to know? what to do?
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I don't *think* I have PA but it's one of several possibilities that I'm looking into. My profile has more info and you're welcome to stalk me on the Thyroid UK forum if you like. ;) but I'll give a brief background after my question here. Is it possible to have high B12 levels

Iron alternatives + iron interactions
I've been put on Ferrous Fumarate and can't tolerate it. I think I've read that this isn't the "best" form to take - am I remembering right? If it's true, does "best" mean most easily aborbed, most effective, or what? And what's best for correcting low ferritin? My ferritin was very low a few weeks ago

19 years old, wanting to self inject B12??? - long post!
I'm 19 years old, female. In October 2017 I was diagnosed as being deficient in B12. I initially went to the doctors for headaches and he ran a complete blood test. My B12 count was 92. I've previously suffered from iron deficiency anaemia with my lowest count being 4. I'm also deficient in Vitamin D

I've just found out that they are giving her 210 mg of Iron tablet at the same time as the Levothyroxine which shouldn't happen. This has been happening for 3 months and they

I've been taking 305mg ferrous fumarate daily for three or so years now, and my stool changed colour in the normal way; black as Guinness. However, for the last few days my stool has been much lighter in colour; I haven't

Thyroid Antibodies, vit D3 D2 iron def very low. Advice needed please
Hi I just wanted a little advice and to get some knowledge on Thyroid Antibodies blood test. I read somewhere on here that if it's present in a bloood test ten your Gp should be giving you medication for this and treat your thyroid. Not sure if it's correct. Still can't get diagnosed but extra tests being carried out
Hi again everyone, Happy snow day! I hope you are all safe and warm inside. I headed back to the doctor on Monday (different doctor, same practice) with my mum in tow to back me up (feels great having to do that when you are in your 30's)! I told the doctor I believe my results show I have subclinical
