Four Months on from Ablation #1
So my first ablation took place on the 10 of July and from the outset I suspected it would be at least a two part procedure. I am now booked in for a second procedure on the 20th of November. I was diagnosed as a pre diabetic and was told to take a tablet Metformin to help with this. Now this seems to be widely used drug with not many issues? However, it was the first time they have given it me! It was only a matter of days that my Heart rate would not go below 100 BPM this is not a great

Heart failure?
I thought the standard procedure for diagnosing heart failure was the BNP blood test. My understanding after reading the NICE guidelines, is that you can have heart failure with a perfectly ok ejection fraction. If that is the case then surely the BNP test is a crucial part of the jigsaw. Why is heart

Raised Heart rate
Hi All. As mentioned in previous posts I have been on Digoxin & Eliquis Apixaban since the 11th August. The Digoxin seems to be doing a good job of reducing heart rate at rest and when I go for my daily walks. I do not think Digoxin is meant to reduce heart rate when exercising but I may be wrong. My

Hi All. Just wondering if the Kardia unit is any benefit if you are in permanent Afib or is it more of value to someone with paroxysmal or intermittent episodes . I am in permanent although only diagnosed 3 weeks ago and I have read how good the Kardia is but not sure if it will only tell me what I

HB too slow with Sotalol!!!
I have been on Digoxin and Flecainide plus Rivaroxaban for a year and half. Now my Cardiologist put me on Sotalol (40mg) at night and my RHB is just above 40. Sotalol helps me with my problem of hearing my HB in my left ear due to Carotid Calcification but my HB is too slow now, I think, at below 50.
