Hi newbie.

I am about to be put on Dijoxin, to further slow my heart rate down I've had AFIB, had a echocardiogram my EF mild at 45%. Is this percentage classed as heart failure, also is anyone else on Digoxin or been on it.

Thanks everybody.

Hi Tombstone

My understanding is that ejection fraction can vary and slightly lower than normal EF readings should not automatically be assumed to indicate heart failure. The attached article gives some information on EF's heart.org/en/health-topics/...

Digixin is sometimes prescribed purely for AF, make sure once on it you have regular blood checks as GP's sometimes forget this and its important. Sure digoxin will help your AFIB
