How did you feel
Hi on Monday evening I start

Bladder neck constriction
Basically if I hadn’t had this taken care of the doc said I would have been on
dialysis
or lost kidney function and would have required a kidney transplant. Cudos to my great urologist.

Bleeding in stomach ICU, doctors pessimistic to contine
As he is on anticoagulant medication, they don't want to lower this as clots form in his body elsewhere and
dialysis
machine. So he is bleeding/oozing at the stomach and they feel they have tried all they can.

Hi, I'm new here :)
It also seems like I will probably be on
dialysis
this upcoming year. Ig you can say that I have put my health to the side but now its constant worry maybe because I am older and I didn't understand so much when I was younger, even now I feel like I learn something new about all of this everyday.

The Rice Diet Revisited- Who & what drove Dr. Kempner to invent the Rice Diet!
Those days there was no kidney transplant , no
dialysis
....and the patients those days knew that the final outcome of the disease is death....( Even today there is no medication for kidney failure, if there is a donor, then transplant is an option ) .

Dialysis & MS-contin (Morphine)
I started
dialysis
4 weeks ago and I’m up to 4 hour treatments. At 3 hours the ms-contin was ok, at 4 hours it bleeds off all ms-contin and I end up in excruciating pain for about 36 hours before I get the chronic pain under control.

Pancreatitis led to septic shock
However his heart has recovered, the kidneys are doing much better without any need for
dialysis
and he is maintaining a normal BP on his own, as opposed to the 3 vasopressors he previously needed.

IgA for 10+ years and sudden drop of eGFR 85 to 69
I can’t help to blame myself and feel very worried I’m on my way to the
dialysis
at this rate if my condition keeps getting worse :( Anyone have similar experience? Do you think it’s possible to bring the GFR back to the 80s and decrease creatinine level?

New to disease. Food questions.
They say he is in Stage 4 kidney disease and he'll have to go on
dialysis
at Stage 5. I'm going to have to change how he eats...very little protein or fruits and vegetables with low potassium. I feel like I need a degree in food science to learn everything. He has no symptoms.

Myoclonus?
It started when I was on peritoneal
dialysis
, in connection with a medication called ropinerole. It continued after I stopped the medication, and even 3 years after my transplant. I've seen neurologists, had EEGs, done everything anyone could think of in search of answers, to no avail.
