Looking for ways to find a kidney donor
Of course this is ridiculous, but she got spooked and pulled out and now my uncle, who has been on
dialysis
for several years, is in need of a kidney again. I don’t know where to begin to try and help find him a kidney, other than posting it on social media. Is there a better way to do this?

New to pd
I started pd
dialysis
in January this year and still feeling bad. I’m wondering how long it takes for someone to start feeling better. I’m always tired and my weight keeps going up from my target weight. Has anyone has any idea what I should do.

Stage 5 CKD
Now I am waiting on transplant testing / my GFR to fall to single digits for a transplant or
dialysis
. Is there anyone else currently in Stage 5? (or even late Stage 4) If so, can you describe a normal day or what you experience in regards to pain / difficulties?

GFR of 8 but Ultrasound states no abnormalities
The specialist is informing us that her kidneys are only working 8% and she needs to start
Dialysis
ASAP. Should there be additional testing that we should be doing before starting
dialysis
? She has has the blood test done twice and now the Ultrasound. Should we ask for an MRI?

Kidney Donor & Blood Pressure
She’s been on
dialysis
for a couple of months now. I’m a match and I’ve passed all the other tests; however, I was told that I need to get my blood pressure down first before I can get the final approval. I workout regularly but I love to eat. And the amount of stress at work will never change.

Hello I'm Andrew and have just 'Found' you.
I had a Kidney transplant, in July 2013, after four years on
Dialysis
- three times a week. I attend Headway Essex, twice a week- Tuesdays & Thursdays. Tuesdays, the Group Splits, with The most Wheelchair Bond attenders going to 'Bounce-ability'.

New to post any am worried also I have CKD Stage 3 but doctor says I am fine for now. Don't understand that
Shouldn't my doctor have me seeing a kidney specialist - can I have
dialysis
with only one kidney or see a dietitian for a proper diet. I worry all of the time but doc says I'm okay.

Doctor and/or Dialysis tech Burnout?
The only cure off of
dialysis
is a transplant. But in California its 10 years at least. Thats like having cancer for 10 years. Innovation hasn't changed in 60 years, its super expensive and time consuming, taxpayers are paying
dialysis
costs through medicare.

Feeling sad after transplant - (I'm new here)
I had a transplant almost 5 months ago and thought I would be super happy by now, especially after a year on
dialysis
. Instead I've been feeling quite sad and kind of like I'm in a rut.

My Father is ready to give up on dialysis
He also has a hard time understanding that he truly needs
dialysis
since he still is able to urinate multiple times a day. He feels as if he only needs
dialysis
about 2 days a week and he feels better when he doesn’t go.

A preemptive kidney transplant?
At the time I was referred for transplant by my nephrologist because my GFR was 16 and we both thought
dialysis
was looming. I started the process and went through all the testing required to be listed. Early this week I heard from my transplant coordinator, I am now listed.

Tips for Complying with Renal Diet
Hi, I am at GFR of 10 and preparing to soon go for PD catheter surgery so I can start
dialysis
. I met with several renal dietitians. So far, they are giving me information pamphlets with list of food items that are high in sodium, in potassium and in phosphorus.
