Mom and ICU
She went through being septic, had to start
dialysis
, and was on high does antibiotics. She was moved from intubated tubes to a tracheotomy (she pulled out her vent tube). With all of this going on, she also couldnt keep her blood pressure stable.

Next appointment in 6 mo's & says, while there are never any guarantees, but as long as I continue this path he can't see me ever needing
Dialysis
. OMG, Praise God. I've been so scared these 6 Mo's (and more), not having any guidance is a real stressor & since I have no family, no support.

For the last 3 months every time i take my anti rejection meds i think about people in Gaza who lost access to the transplant treatment and

Just getting started in this process.
He hopes to get a transplant as he won't do
dialysis
. I'm hoping to be considered as a donor, but don't know anything about the health requirements. My main questions are concerning my obesity and former status as a smoker and as an alcoholic.

Then multiorgan failure kidney
dialysis
And the wasting away of his muscles and coming out of the coma and how he is now. I don't understand. You see on trauma programmes patients being treated straight away for infections and heart attacks and often they recover.

Great for
dialysis
but could lead to serious heart issues in the future. Now I have to get an operation to rectify it and might have to get a line put in temporarily🙈 It's just so frustrating when staff don't listen to you.

Transplant list..overwhelmed
I am at work, when I am not on
dialysis
and have never missed a shift in those 18 months. I always put a brave face on for others, even if I'm having a down day or exhausted. Now I feel everything has just caught up with me and I feel mentally and physically exhausted.

Why it is important to advocate for yourself
BMI not on
dialysis
, 45. On
dialysis
, BMI less than 40. I have been below 45 for that last 3 or 4 years. I immediately called the transplant nurse and said, "what the heck?" She was very contrite. She gave no explanation. She diffused the conversation by asked about the ischemia.

Frustrations
My labs today, as usual, were very good: all numbers well within range and much better than prior to beginning
dialysis
. My energy levels were low going into PD due to severe depression and a host of other ailments all contributing to my CKD.

Annual transplant program appointment
Avoiding
dialysis
would be a big WIN, I'll be able to keep working, keeping my income and insurance. Every transplant program does things differently. I'd be interested to hear how other folks have to check in while on the list. Barbara

What is naturopathic nutritional therapy?
As someone who has relied on
dialysis
machines for many years to sustain life and had two kidney transplants. I am so glad to have the real inside view into the reality of the machinations of the health system.

How to cope up with
dialysis
or transplant situations? I get severe mental trauma thinking of all this. He is my first born and I had never imagined that life would take this turn.
