Can treating Hypothyroid raise DHEA levels?
My
DHEA
and Vitamin D were low back in December so I have been taking supplements (5,000 IU Vitamin D, 25mg
DHEA
) for those and on the last test they came back optimal. Could getting closer to optimal with the NDT be causing me to produce more
DHEA
and I am now getting too much?

Does anybody take, or have taken 7-Keto for their adrenals? Does it increase DHEA, and how much should I take?
So much conflicting advice and info, I really have no idea how much to take for adrenal fatigue (low
DHEA
really, as cortisol is ok - if not a little low). Any advice on amount/make etc? Does it even work to raise
DHEA
levels?

Is it ok to take DHEA and NDT together?
I just wondered if anybody has taken both NDT and
DHEA
at the same time? My
DHEA
levels are low, but cortisol is within range so I'm taking 3mg
DHEA
sublingual each morning to hopefully raise this. I'm not taking any thyroid meds yet though. Any advice very much appreciated!

Secondary hypothyroidism, CAUSED by low DHEA
This is generally related to depressed
DHEA
levels.***** However, one must be very careful to not use
DHEA
without first measuring levels of other hormones, especially testosterone.
DHEA
given as supplement can clearly cause more harm than good if it is not needed.

Genova private testing - how do you know the results are accurate?
Also - my
DHEA
was/is also low. Can I ask my doctor to check this, to compare with the Genova results??

Low DHEA but normal cortisol - does this still point towards adrenal fatigue? Should I not take thyroid medication at this point?
I'm confused about the
DHEA
still being low, but the cortisol improving. Why would this be? Is low
DHEA
related to hypothyroidism, and which causes which? Does the thyroid cause the low
DHEA
, or does the low
DHEA
cause the underactive thyroid?!

Adrenal stress test results just arrived - cortisol improved! But DHEA still low. Is this enough to now proceed with thyroid medication?
I did at one point take
DHEA
, but stopped. I wonder if I should re-introduce this again, or perhaps 7-keto?

Well, I had my first appointment with the endo today.... and the conclusion he came to was...... (wait for it)
He didn't really say anything about the saliva test and cortisol/
dhea
, only that they'd test the cortisol themselves as it would be more accurate, and totally ignored the
DHEA
being low. Don't know why.

A private Doctor gave me DHEA.......
I had private tests done before seeing him so I knew that my
DHEA
and Cortisol were low. He told me, in no uncertain terms, that taking Cortisol would 'mess' me up. I knew from previous reading that
DHEA
works slowly. I started to notice improvements to my skin and hair.

Lab results in from Blue Horizon, could somebody help me interpret them? I don't really understand.

Anyone had any experience with DHEA for a low AMH
They have given me the option of private treatment using
DHEA
for 12 weeks prior to IVF with the aim of improving the AMH. Has anyone used or have similar experiences?

Adrenal stress test - is the Secretory IgA part important?
I want to find out if I have adrenal fatigue or similar so I'm looking at ordering a 24 hour saliva test, either the Adrenal Stress Profile which tests cortisol and
DHEA
, or the comprehensive one which adds Secretory IgA. Has anyone done these tests, and would you recommend the comprehensive one?

CQ100 or Cq10
I cannot tolerate
DHEA
now though. Has anybody had any side effects from taking Cq 10 in large doses. I have read on the net that large doses are quite beneficial and safe. Yours john C

Can anyone help with adrenal stress profile results please
sample 1 14.4 (12 - 22) sample 2 5.3 (5.0 -9.0) sample 3 3.8 (3.0 - 7.0) sample 4 3.0 (1.0 - 3.0)
DHEA
Mean 0.42 (0.30 - 1.00) DHEA:CORTISOL RATIO 1.57 (1.0 - 4.0) adrenal stress stage shows normal response. Does this mean I don't have adrenal fatigue Thanks.

I think my adrenals are wrecked. What should I do?
And do you think it's okay for me to go to H&B looking for adrenal/cortisol support tablets or even
DHEA
this morning? Thanks

First Endo app and birth control pill??
My doctor has referred me to see an Endo after seeing my results from private tests showing my
DHEA
is very very low at 0.03 and my cortisol is borderline high with 2 out of 4 samples showing high. I presume the endo will want to test my hormone levels?
