Distortion of Hba1c test with levo
Hi Someone asked me to give further info about my claim that HbA1c tests cannot be relied upon if you are being treated with levothyroxine. I can't find that request now so I'm starting a new thread. The clearest statement is on the American Thyroid Association website.
WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS

Advice or any comments on latest numbers please 🙏
I had my blood drawn at 8:00 AM / 24 hours after last dosage of 125 Levothyroxine and 10 Liothyronine. All in one dose early in the morning - usually around 6:00 AM. With the assistance of the calculators I am: 50% through the reference range on T3 73.68% through the reference range on T4 -10.79%

High TSH, Low FT4 Help Please
I have Hashimotos and just had new labs completed. I've been taking Cytomel for about a year now, as my FT3 was previously an issue (low). Now that it has improved some, my FT4 is low and my TSH at an all time high. There are no endos near me that will take my insurance. Was hoping someone could

How long to improve glucose
How long did it take for you to improve your blood sugar levels or eliminate T2 diabetes with diet and exercise? Been eating healthy and exercising for about 2 months and lost 5 lbs but fasting blood sugar hasn’t improved. Does it take a long time or does it depend on how much weight you lose?

WOW, noticing today, after some weak days at 5mg prednisone, I am again feeling good and energetic, added meth and hydroxy dropped metformin
I was at 5 a few weeks go, but too hastily dropped and went to 2.5, and on the 3rd day at 2.5 felt terrible. Jumped back to 10 and then 7.5. And since I have gone back to 5, after maybe a week at 5, I am again feeling great, better than I did the last time I was at 5. There are some differences now,

update - diet & tapering
diagnosed with PMR early May 2023, put on 20mg pred, tapered after a couple of months to 17.5 and then after 1 month to 15mg, which started yesterday. Started a strict liver reduction diet 12 days ago, because my diabetes type 2 glucose level was up by several points and my BP up by around 15 points

Brighton Track Night Report aka Well goodness me that was unexpected
I’ve been targeting the 100 metres at this event for quite some time as I’ve been running well but all my good times so far this season have been illegal as the wind was too fast. I had slipped down the rankings to 9th place and probably out of the top 10 before too long so it was really important to

Question for PCa patients using Estradiol transdermal patch for bone protection and SEs
As I noted in an earlier now deleted post, I've been using the lowest dose E2 patch and saw an unexpected reduction in my glucose level from a recent blood test. What I am trying to ask are there any PCa patients using E2 transdermally in the group who have seen their usually elevated above range glucose
