Gabapentin & Low Platelets
Short story- I have been on Gabapentin for a few years I have been off it for about a week. I started bruising very easily so went to have my blood checked. My resting heart rate was 127 and my platelets count was 7 out of 150-400. The doctors are now checking me for everything (HIV, Leukemia, ITP

Treating Itp with Herbal Supplements
Hi! I'm a newbie here! I came aboard to find a natural way to treat Itp. Since Prednisone isn't cutting it. Dexamethasone and Eltrombopag also didn't take. The Doctor's want to try rituximab next and I'm a little bit leary of that one. Then of course, if that doesn't work, they'll want to take my spleen

Pelvic MRI on Thursday at MDA
So, thirteen months ago I’m at MD Anderson and bone scans reveal metastasized prostate cancers in bone and lymph nodes in hips - rib cage and sternum as well. PSA was 96 and Gleason was 4+4. Since then the cancer has been suppressed and PSA is negligible. This was accomplished by a combination of injections

AC225 whilst Chemotherapy Naive
So my Father's PSA has risen whilst on Zytiga and after switching to Dexamethasone. Although that switch from Prednisone did it bring it down for two consecutive months. My father had a recent PSMA scan which shown multiple bone mets but shown the cancer does express PSMA. Am I correct in thinking

PSA down further and starting Docetaxel today
PSA continued to drop from 0.41 to 0.232. Just started my docetaxel today plus zometa and Lucrin ( ADT). Feeling a bit 'hype' after the treatment. Could be the dexamethasone. Managed to get some rest and feeling fine. Oncologist has asked me to stop the Zytiga when I am going thru the docetaxel treatment

A possibly interesting publication revealing 10-fold increase in inflammatory molecule in microvascular angina patients.
This post is rather long. My “Google Scholar Alerts” have notified me of a possibly interesting abstract relating to the physiology of microvascular angina (MVA): https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/abs/10.1161/atvb.39.suppl_1.348 The abstract shows that the tested MVA patients had elevated levels of a

Been taking zytiga with trelstar a year now since diagnosis. Initially psa fell quickly from 352 to undetectable, but since May has been doubling monthly. Today it is 0.97. 😔 I sure was hoping to be on this regimen longer. I go back to dr next Thursday. Hoping to try switching prednisone to

Please, help with cortisol
Hi everyone, I’ve just received lab results of low dose Dexamethasone suppression test Cortisol morning <0.03 (0.17-0.50) Doc said it is good(???). I guess it means that I don’t have high cortisol. How about low cortisol? I also tested privately vit D result 66 (65-225). A while ago it was 95(50-150)

LUPRRon OR ZOLADEX
Along with Zytiga ( abiraterone) I am on 3 monthly injection of Zoladex ( gosarellin). My PSA is undetectable. I have noticed that most people seem to be on 3 monthly injection of Lupron. I’m in Vancouver Canada. They both do a similar thing but has anyone tried the 2 or switched from one to the other

Going off steroid
Hi Everyone, I developed cataracts in each eye and the eye doctor believes it is from the Dexamethasone I have been on for the last several years. It was only .5 mil. per day, but enough to cause them. My oncologist told me last week that I could stop taking the steroid. I stopped last Wednesday and
