Post Covid
Good morning all . It has been almost 3 weeks since I caught Covid and ended up in hospital. I’m almost feeling human again but much of it is a case of having to get on with it . I’ve lost loads of weight, have no energy and I’ve gone off my life saving cups of tea . I upped my Prednisilone from 3mg

What are Tocilizumab and Sarilumab treatments for COVID?
The REMPA-CPAP Clinical trial results show that the drugs reduced the risk of death by 24% for critically ill patients and reduced the time spent in intensive care by up to 10 days. In light of these results, the UK government has said that supplies of tocilizumab are already available in hospitals

Hi everybody, I was diagnosed with BXO a few days ago. I had always had phimosis (full retraction when flaccid; none when erect) but in last 5 months my phimosis had closed completely and I developed scarring and discolouration on the foreskin. At the moment, my foreskin is so tight that it is uncomfortable

Dexamethasone Shortage!
My regular pharmacy could not supply my dex refill. They said there was a manufacturers shortage. I finally found a CVS store that had stock to fill a 30 day script. My MO concurred with me that it’s due to dex being used in large doses to mitigate Covid symptoms.

Help with Non Hodkin’s Lymphoma
Hello I’m new here. I have just started a new regimen of treatment for Follicular Lymphoma. They are communicating

Hypothyroid, coeliac, PMR - my journey to 0 pred
Diagnosed with PMR in 2017 and after a few months of not taking pred, I succumbed and my aches and pains mostly vanished. I was working in a high pressure environment then and was luckily able to keep working and attend my Pilates classes all the way through apart from a 6 week period during the first

Zytiga and dexamethasone
My husband has been on zytiga and dexamethasone since mid August. Lately he has become much angrier and some weight gain. Also it seems like his feet aren’t working as well. Has anyone else seen these symptoms with this drug combination? Thank you in advance.

Dexamethasone instead of Prednisone for PMR????
Hi All! Been through some things with esophagus - had dilation and polyps removed. Acid reflux is bad and gastro thinks prednisone has had an impact after 2 years. No enteric pred in US and doc doesn't thiink putting it in a capsule is a good idea. I am down to 3.5 mg - occasional 5 if I flare and

Happy Last Chemo Day!
My wonderful, loving husband, Steve, will have his final Docetaxel treatment today, Dec. 3rd. Yay! As those of you who have been down the chemo road know, it hasn't been a picnic so he's happy to see this day finally arrive. We read all the chemo tips on this site and others before he started treatment

Bladder problems??
After 3 months on Zytiga and Prednisone with no drop in a climbing PSA ( 6.4 in 12/19 to 20.1 on 11/14/20)we elected to try Dexamethasone with the Zytiga. I was on Xtandi for 3 yrs prior. But I noticed my evening bladder leakage problems got much worse. I usually just use a Maximum Depends Guard at night

Why am I being given a dexamethasone suppression test?
After my previous blood test (stated on my last post) the doctor said that I was not anaemic, even though I have all the symptoms and have very low iron, and therefore won’t prescribe me with iron. I explained to the doctor that I was diagnosed with anxiety a year ago and that would be the main reason

FET - why?! 8dp5dt
I’m just so confused. The amount of ‘extra’ help we had this FET cycle and I’m 8dp5dt and still a stark white bfn. I don’t get it?! I’m on 1200mg progesterone, 6mg progynova, 1mg dexamethasone, 80mg aspirin, 40mg Clexane daily. Plus I had filgrastim 3 days before transfer to help it stick and also the

Zytiga with dexamethasone
My husband had to switch from prednisone to dexamethasone and Zytiga 3 months ago. The psa has made a steady decline . 9.3 ,4.9,and now 3.6. I’m wondering how others have done on this protocol? And is the fact he’s finally below 4.0 of any significance? I always thought somehow under 4.0 was a goal.

18 years with metastatic prostate cancer – operation number three, but no good news for me – the end game begins.
Well, it’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I’d provide an update. Last time round, I was coming to the end of my lutetium treatment which had produced disappointing results. Long story short, I decided to go ahead with the sixth cycle following a good psa reduction from the fifth treatment

Good morning lovely ladies and thank you so much for all of your encouraging and supportive replies. Similarities between long covid and PMR
Hi, After watching the news today and hearing peoples experience with the effects of having "long covid" I found myself wondering if there could be any link or similar issues between PMR and what these poor people are experiencing after having contracted coronavirus. As this is exactly how I have felt
