Depo-provera pros and cons
Hi all, I’ve had a consultation this morning and my consultant has suggested depo injections. I have the mirena coil fitted but still getting a lot of symps - including sickness/nausea and huge hormonal imbalances. Has anyone else had the depo injections? Pros? Cons? Thanks all!

Waiting to start
Hi I’m due to start stims on Friday however still no period. it’s been 3 days since I stopped Norethisterone. I was on 5mg tablets twice a day for 13 days. For my 1st fresh cycle I didn’t have to down reg and for FET I had provera and bled within 3 days. I just don’t want to delay things as I’ve arranged

DepoProvera for Lupron SEs--many questions
On my MO's recommendation, I've started DepoProvera [DP] injections to combat serious sleep deprivation and other side-effects of Lupron/Zytiga. So far, I've had 3 shots, roughly a month apart. It really helps! But I'm concerned about using this drug, and my MO is basically ignoring my questions about

How quickly did it take depo-medrone steroid injection to work for your Lupus swelling?
I had a depo-medrone systemic injection for my lupus swelling. I was advised it should take effect 1-2 days, unless I misunderstood. I would be so grateful to know how long this steroid has taken for others to reduce the inflammation.

Your experiences?
My endo specialist has given me three options to move forward, and I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has tried any of these and how they got on with them. 1)
Depo
Provera
(contraceptive injection) 2) Zoladex (injection to induce menopause, plus HRT I believe) on a three month trial 3) Laparoscopy

Depo-Provera Pros & Cons
My MO is suggesting
Depo
-
Provera
in response to my complaints about Lupron SEs. I'm a bit reluctant to take yet another 3-month shot, that can't be undone if I don't do well with its SEs . If you've tried it, what are your experiences?

Endo back??
I was diagnosed with endo in Dec 20 after having emergency lap for ruptured 8cm endometrioma, right ovary and tube were removed during lap and bowel had to be detached from abdominal wall. Had zoladex for 3 months after op. Had my first cycle again in May 21 and since June I've been getting intense

I had already had ultra sounds blood tests cervical biopsy and an mri prior to meeting her. She told me pretty much straight away my endo is stage 4 and she really recommends

Anyone here had endometrial womb cancer?
Hi all, I don’t know if this community is the right place but i know it from the days when I had ovarian cancer in 2016/17. Today I was given the shocking news that I gave endometrial womb cancer. Doc has prescribed provera 100mg 3x per day for 90 days. I hope my body will tolerate it. I have a million

Laparoscopy results found no endo - confused and feeling lost
I had switched to the
depo
provera
back in November 2020 and saw a huge improvement in my symptoms (especially bowel I was actually going regularly and was not seeing anywhere near the amount of discomfort and pain) and though maybe the endo had begun to heal but they still said if it was old or ‘scarred

Why isn’t body identical progesterone (Utrogestan) used to treat endometriosis? Surely it could help & less side effects than synthetic.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while. With the theory being that oestrogen stimulates endometriosis and progesterone suppresses it, why have I only ever been put on synthetic forms of progesterone? I’ve been on the contraceptive pill, depot provera, Mirena coil and Prostap injections. All of them

I've lost all hope.
I insisted only under sedation and she refused and told me to go to my GP for a
depo
provera
needle and come back in six months (I think it was 6 months, it's been a while now). I booked my GP appt but before it even arrived I received a letter in the mail for a presurgery appt.

spotting on cerazette
hi all, about 5 weeks ago i started taking cerazette and i have been randomly spotting since about 3 weeks ago. before that i was taking provera which i never bled on but after about 6 months my gynae wanted me to switch to cerazette so my body would learn to cope with lower amounts of progesterone.

Is it normal for your cycle to be off after retrieval?
I'm not sure what to expect. Had my retrieval 4/26 but developed OHSS and was told to wait until my second cycle for transfer. I got the expected cycle in May. I should've started June 3. I'm now 10 days late, negative pregnancy test so it's not that. Is this something that happens often? How long should
