Depo-Provera Pros & Cons

My MO is suggesting Depo-Provera in response to my complaints about Lupron SEs. I'm a bit reluctant to take yet another 3-month shot, that can't be undone if I don't do well with its SEs . If you've tried it, what are your experiences?

For hot flashes? It works but may cause weight gain. I would rather use estrogen patches, which have other benefits.

Definitely should not be doing Androgen deprivation therapy without estrogen.
